Hawkinsville and Robert C.
Coleman of Hawkinsville,
recently graduated from the
U.S. Coast Guard Recruit
Training Center in Cape
May, N. J.
During the eight-week
training program, Coleman
completed a vigorous train
ing curriculum consisting
of academics and practical
instruction on water safety
and survival, military cus
toms and courtesies, sea
manship skills, first aid, fire
fighting and marksmanship.

at Fort Knox, Ky.
During the nine-week
training period, Bonawitz
received instruction in drill
and ceremony, weapons,
rifle marksmanship and
bayonet training, chemical

tactical exercises, armed
and unarmed combat, mili
tary courtesy, military jus
tice, physical fitness, first
aid, and Army history, tradi
tions, and core values.
He is the grandson of
