Man indicted
for murder

Ronald Free, according to
a release from the district
attorney’s
office, was
indicted
Tuesday by
the Houston
County
Grand
Jury for
the offense
of murder,
aggravated
assault,
'
FREE
burglary and possession of
a knife during a crime, all
of which relate back to an
incident on Dec. 23, 1995, at
101 North Avenue, Warner
Robins.
Carol Johnson was stabbed
to death in her home on
that date when she encoun
tered an intruder in her

Charlotte Peavy King
ELKO - Charlotte Peavy
King, 65, passed away on
Friday, December 7 at Emory
University Hospital. Services were
held Tuesday, December 11 at
Andersonville National Cemetery.
Charlotte, born in Cobb County
was the daughter of the late William
Peavy. She was a former meat
wrapper/cashier at Longhorn’s
Butcher Shop for 18 years.
Survivors include her husband,
Wayne King; children, Kathy K.

On July 5, Officer Tim
Pippio was out on patrol
when he noticed a vehicle
that appeared to be traveling
above the posted speed limit.

Betty Ann Campbell
WARNER ROBINS - Betty
Ann Campbell, 75, passed away
Thursday. Her husband and
parents preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughters
Ann Sisson and Kayleen Mims,
sons, Philip I Campbell, Jr. and
Mike Campbell, a brother, nine
grandchildren and nine great
grandchildren.

of this, he was placed under
arrest. At that time, Pippio

“This was Mr. Rutledge’s
fourth felony conviction,”
Marlow said. “Mr. Rutledge
was a very fortunate man
