COPING
From page iA
“It’s just another way to
show there are people who
care and ‘we have not for
got about you to help you
cope with any stresses you
ay have or any concerns you
may have.’”
One of those in atten
dance - representative of the
group - was Chris Yester.
Her husband, Keith, is a
pilot - he recently learned
he was selected for major so
there’s at least a bit of good
news - for the 12th Airborne
Command and Control
Squadron, J-Stars.
He’s been deployed since
October and worse, this
year will mark the second
straight one he’s missed
Thanksgiving and will miss
Christmas and New Year’s
- the third time in all during
their seven years of mar
riage.
“The older ones,” she said
of daughters Brittany, 17,
and Kayla, 13, “just take it
as they go. The younger one
(Blake, 4), he’s having a real
hard time at it right now. He
misses his daddy a lot.”
“It’s hard for him being a
in a house full of girls,” she
added as a joke.
One thing that helps
immensely in her case, she

Anyway, having her fam

And, she has been able to
incorporate traditions unique
to the Yester’s such as mak
