I had the opportunity to teach eye surgery in multiple states and several countries. I wrote severed articles and contributed to a couple of books, and became the nation’s leader in treating co-existing astigmatism and cataract. At the same time this baby boomer eye surgeon had an amazingly successful year in weightlifting. I applied the same level of commitment to exercise that I do to eye care. I ended up winning over a hundred titles including 48 nationals and 37 worlds. I also had the honor of being on two United States teams and was named Master Powerlifter of the year. Butbestof all the Eyesight Associates teamhad the incredible blessing of helping thousands of Georgians see better (more than any year since we have been open).
