The election is to elect four parent/guardian repre sentatives to serve on the School Council for the remainder of the 2007-2008 school year. Two of the elected representa tives must also be members of the business community. All par ents and guardians of students currently attending Mossy Creek Middle are encouraged to attend. This class, taught by Sandra Brenner, RD, Ph.D., is for individuals with diabetes who need a diet review or people with newly diagnosed Diabetes Type 2. A physician diet prescription is required. This course recognized by the American Diabetes Association is taught by reg istered nurses, dietitians, and certified diabetes educators. The course consists of a one-hour initial assessment and education, a two-hour nutrition class, and two five hour comprehensive education classes. Follow up at three, six and 12 months after com pletion of the entire program.
