On December 13 and 18, 2007 the Sandy
ESG* Un (GA0030325) experienced
/ O me. elevated effluent Total Suspended Solids
(TSS) levels into Sandy Run Greek. The
permitted weekly average effluent TSS concentration is 45
mg/L and the composite sample for the 13th was 84 mg/L
with a flow of 5.755 MG and 90 mg/L with a flow of 5.436
MG. The spills were a result of a mechanical failure and
decreased influent pH levels. In response and to minimize
the effects, a new chemical feed system was installed and the
faulty equipment is being repaired.
