SAMUEL L. JACKSON
Yes, Jackson really is the baddest man on earth. That’s a
good, not bad, thing, as photographer Roger Erickson
explains. “It’s just something that comes naturally to him,”
Erickson says. “It’s in his walk. It’s in his cadence. It’s
in his attitude. He conveys the same effortless command
in. a photo shoot that he does in a movie. But he’s not so
cool that he won’t try something different, either. We shot
this in L.A., and he was ready to do anything.’’ One thing
that surprised him about Jackson? “I don’t recall him
cursing,” Erickson says. “Isn’t that funny? He’s so well
known for doing that in his films. But he doesn’t talk that
way in conversation.”

STACY LONDON AND CLINTON KELLY
Photographer Mike Ruiz won’t soon forget his shoot
with the What Not to Wear stars. As she can be on the
show, London was demanding when it came to getting
the just-right look. But once she was finished getting
styled, “she came out and was completely sweet and
accommodating,” Ruiz says. “And I love that Clinton
doesn’t take all of it too seriously. He and Stacy both
have fun with what they do.” ca
