Impact: Caught 43 passes for
770 yards and eight touchdowns.
Averaged 17.9 yards per reception
and 51.3 per game. Helped lead the
Eagles to back-to-back state champi
onships at the Class AAAA level.
Other: Was named to the Atlanta
Journal Constitution's All-State First
Team.
Vashawn Oats
School: Northside
Year: Senior
Position: Offensive lineman
Impact: Was a "dominant force"
on the offensive line, said Northside
Head Coach Conrad Nix. Helped
lead the Eagles to back-to-back state
championships at the Class AAAA
level.
Other: Was named to the 2007
All-State team.
Jerome Blbblns
School: Northside
Year: Senior
Position: Offensive tackle
Impact: Provided key blocking
for an Eagles group that rushed for
3,255 yards. Helped lead the Eagles
to back-to-back state champion
ships.
Other: Was named to the AJC
All-State First Team.
Johnnie Farms
School: Perry
Year: Junior
Position: Offensive lineman
Impact: Regarded as the best
Offensive Line prospect in the state
of Georgia, said Scott. “(He's an)
unbelievable blocker who just physi
cally mauls defensive players ...
Bench Presses 385 and it shows
when he locks on people." He, too,
helped lead the team to the Elite
Eight of the state playoffs - the high
est any Panther football team has
ever gone.
Joel Revis
School: Westfield
Vear: Junior
Position: Running back/defen
sive corner
Impact: Was “our go-to guy
this year," Jones said. He had 701
yards rushing on 100 carries and five
touchdowns. He also was the team's
leading receiver, catching 10 passes
for 211 yards and a touchdown.
On defense he had 29 individual
tackles, 11 assists and two inter
ceptions. He was also the Hornets’
kicker and only missed on point after
touchdown.
Other: He was named to the All-
Region team.
Special Teams
David Clark
School: Warner Robins
Year: Junior
Position: Place kicker/punter
Impact: Was 8 of 15 in field
goals (longest was 52 yards, a school
record). Was also 24 of 25 in PATs.
Eighty percent of his kickoffs were in
the endzone, said Way, and he had a
38.4 yard punting average.
“David has handled all of our kick
ing duties the last two years," Way
said. “He has an extremely strong leg
and is very accurate. Only two of his
field goal misses were less than 45
yards. With his kickoffs and punts,
he creates excellent field position
for us.”
Other: Named to the Region 1-
AAAAA First Team.
Devon Pike
School: Northside
Year: Sophomore
Impact: Among his other accom
plishments, he kicked the game-win
ning field goal in the state semifinals
in the Georgia Dome and made a
22 yarder in the state champion
ship game while helping to lead the
Eagles to back-to-back state titles.
J.R. Lasseter
School: Perry
Year: Senior
Position: Punter
Impact: Finished the year with
a 37-yard average - with a long of
56 yards, while helping to lead the
Panthers to the Elite Eight in the
state playoffs.
“J.R. was a player that battled
back from injury early in the year and
was a true weapon on Friday Nights
with his punting,” said Scott “whether
it be pinning a team inside the 10
or punting a high ball that teams
struggled to return.”
Second Team Defense
Josh Palmer
School: Warner Robins
Year: Senior
Position: Linebacker
Impact: Recorded 94 tackles -
second on the team - which included
60 solo and five for loss. Also recov
ered a fumble, broke up a pass, had
one interception and a touchdown.
“Josh is a quiet leader,” said Way.
“He is very intelligent and did a
good job of getting us in the correct
defense and making on the field
adjustment."
Other: Was named to the Region
1 -AAAAA Second Team.
Thomas Bruce
School: Warner Robins
Year: Senior
Position: Defensive tackle
Impact: Recorded 60 tackles
- third on the team - which included
two for loss. Also recovered a fumble
and tipped two passes.
• “(He) gives tremendous effort
evary play," Way said. “(He's a) good
hard-nosed football player."
Other: Was a two-year starter
at DT and named to the Region 1-
AAAAA Second Team.
Cody Dorman
School: Warner Robins
Yean Junior
Position: Defensive end
Impact: Recorded 46 tackles,
which included seven sacks - team
leader in that category - and four
tackles for loss.
“(He) plays extremely hard and is
very coachable," said Way.
Chris Prewett
School: Houston County
Yean Senior
Position: Linebacker
Impact: Led the team in tackles.
Had 70, including five for loss. Also
had 30 assists.
Othen Was a team captain and
voted the team’s Most Outstanding
Linebacker and the most outstand
ing player for the 2007 season. Was
also named to the Region 1 -AAAAA
team.
Coach’s comer: “Chris is an
outstanding young man who started
at middle linebacker for two seasons.
A smart player who served as an
extension of the coaches on the
field, always making sure players got
lined up right. A leader not only of the
defense but of the entire team both
on and off the field. Chris will be dif
ficult to replace."
Dexter Anderson
School: Houston County
Year: Senior
Position: Defensive end
Impact: Led the team in sacks
with five and was fifth in tackles with
31. Also had 20 assists.
Other: Had four years perfect
attendance.
Coach’s corner: “Dexter has
been a team player since day one.
He has been moved to several posi
tion and has responded with total
effort. He found a home at defensive
end and had an outstanding season
with his speed and quickness."
K.J. Morton
School: Northside
Year: Junior
Position: Defensive back
Impact: Recorded 35 tackles, 10
pass breakups and had seven inter
ceptions. Helped lead the Eagles to
back-to-back state championships.
Other: Was named to the AJC
All-State First Team.
Darius Ivey
School: Northside
Year: Junior
Position: Linebacker
Impact: Recorded 98 tackles,
including two sacks, four tackles
for loss and had one interception.
Helped lead the Eagles to back-to
back state championships.
Brandon Smith
School: Perry
Year: Sophomore
Position: Linebacker
Impact: Recorded 70 tackles -
second on the team - which included
two for a loss. He also had four pass
breakups and three blocked kicks.
Helped lead the team to the Elite

“(He's) going to be a great player
one day," Scott said. “(He) chases the
ball and is an outstanding athlete.

Kadarlus Felder
School: Perry
Yean Sophomore
Position: Linebacker
Impact: Recorded 62 tackles,
which included two for a loss. He also
had two pass breakups. Helped lead
the team to the Elite Eight of the state
playoffs - the highest any Panther
football team has ever gone. “(He's)
a great young linebacker that was
overshadowed by Kanorris Davis ...
A very smart player that has a great
future."
Jarrod Taylor
School: Westfield
Yean Junior
Position: Linebacker
Impact: Led team with 72 individ
ual tackles and had 37 assists. Also
had two interceptions, one of which
he ran back for a touchdown. “(He
was our) best player on defense,”
said Hornet Head Coach Ronnie
Jones. “I did not see a better ILB in
the GISA," said Jones. “He was all
over the field. Unlike most he had to
play both ways. He was our TE and
our best blocker on Offense. He was
also our long snapper.”
On offense he also caught five
passes for 89 yards with one touch
down.
Other: Was named to All-Region
and All-State teams.
Matt Mcßride
School: Westfield
Year: Senior
Position: Tackle/offensive line
man
Impact: Graded out high every
week, Jones said. "We played a
certain type of defense because we
had Matt to play our strong end," said
Jones. “We could not have played
the defense if not for Matt. Jones
added that teams often ran away
from him but he still had 32 individual
tackles, 24 assists and one fumble
recovery.
Other: Was a three-year starter,
team captain and named to the All-
Region team. Also was selected and
played in the annual All-Star game.
Coach’s corner: "Matt was a
good leader and often worked with
younger players in the huddle at
practice.”
Second Team Uffense
Rashad Wynes
School: Warner Robins
Year: Junior
Position: Wide receiver/running
back
Impact: Rushed for 316 yards
on 52 carries - second on the team -
with six touchdowns. He also caught
11 passes - team leader - for 250
yards and three touchdowns. He was
also the Demons’ leading scorer with
54 points. “After moving to receiver,
Rashad gave us a deep receiving
threat on offense," Way said. “He has
excellent hands and is an outstand
ing runner after the catch.”
Othen Was named to the Region
1 -AAAAA Second Team.
Kaleb Turner
School: Warner Robins
Year: Senior
Position: Center
Impact: Finished with an 80 per
cent blocking grade. “(He was) our
most consistent player on the offen
sive line,” said Way. “Although this
was his first year starting, he played
very well and displayed great leader
ship and toughness."

Position: Offensive lineman
Impact: Finished with a 77 per
cent blocking grade.

years perfect attendance.
Coach’s Cornen “(He was) a
quite leader, who played two position

week to give everything he had on

Jeff Thompson
School: Houston County
Yean Junior
Position: Quarterback
Impact: Threw for 1,223 yards
and six touchdowns.
Coach’s corner: "Jeff improved
each week of the season and took
on the role of offensive leader. Only
a junior we expect Jeff to continue to
improve and take his game further
next year."
Ricky Williams
School: Houston County
Year: Senior
Position: Tight end
Impact: Graded 79 percent for
the year as a blocker. Finished 10th
in Region 1-AAAAA in receiving. He
had 13 receptions for 157 yards.
Other: Was a team captain
and had three years perfect atten
dance. Was also voted the team’s
Most Outstanding Lineman and
was named to the Region 1-AAAAA
Second Team.
Coach’s corner: “Ricky was a
leader for us on the offensive side
of the ball. He was the man we ran
behind when we had to get yards.
A player who has played a lot of
football during his career and will be
hard to replace."
Kevyn Cooper
School: Northside
Year: Senior
Position: Tight end
Impact: Rushed for 77 yards and
had three touchdowns. Also caught
29 passes for 582 yards and five
touchdowns. Averaged 20.1 yards
per catch. Helped lead the Eagles to

expected to really have a great year
for us next year."

yards and nine touchdowns. Helped
lead the team to the Elite Eight of

“Trey is a big target at 6-foot-4 that
really had a great year for us,” Scott
said. “(He) is a big time player that
will be heavily recruited next year,
look for him to have an outstanding

greatly throughout the season," Way
said, “and did not start until game
five. His ability to make plays allowed
our offense to move the ball more
consistently."

Impact: Finished with an 80
blocking grade.
“(He is a) very good run blocker,”
said Way. “Many times he has the
key block in making our sweep a
successful play. He has outstanding
