Sealed Bids; Sealed bids for construction of the Jane Drive Lift Station for the
City of Centerville will be received until 2:00 p.m., January 18, 2008, at the Cen
terville City Hall Building, 300 Church Street, Centerville, Georgia 31028, Attn:
Mike Brumfield, Utility Superintendent, at which time and place they will be pub
licly opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the
receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days.
Work to be Done; The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor,
equipment and materials necessary to install the Jane Drive Lift Station and associ
ated force main for the City of Centerville as shown on the plans.
Plans. Specifications, and Contract Documents; Plans, Specifications, and Con
tract Documents are on file at Centerville City Hall. Copies may be obtained from
Saunders Engineering Consultants, Inc., 104-C Gunn Road, Centerville, Georgia,
31028, Phone Number (478) 953-1228, Fax Number (478) 953-1248 and Center
ville City Hall, Utility Department, 300 Church Street, Centerville, GA 31028;
Phone Number (478) 953-3222, upon payment of $125,00 for each set (non-re
fundable).
Bonds: All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than
five percent (5%) of the bid amount The successful bidder, if awarded the Contract,
will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred
percent (100%) of the Contract amount and a Payment Bond in the amount of one
hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount.
This project will adhere to Georgia local Government Public Works construction
law Ch. 91 Title 36.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and
to re-advertise.
