■ PEACH COUNTY FD YARD
SALE - The Peach County Fire
Department Explorer's Post 900 (18
and Under Future Firefighters) will be
having a yard sale June 7 beginning
at 7 a.m. at Station One on Highway
41 in Pov/ersville. The firefighters will
cook and sell a lunch of hot dogs and
hamburgers for the public. They will
also gladly accept donations for the
yard sale on behalf of the Explorers.

HORROR - Houston County's
Public Library System will present
“Authors of Mystery and Mayhem"
as part of the 2008 teen vacation
reading kickoff. To that end, Houston
County tweens and teens are invited
to take part in Chad Crews' show.
This magical storyteller, according
to a release, will intrigue guests as
he performs tricks, poems and short
stories of Edgar Allan Poe, Sir Arthur
Conan Doyle, Mary Shelly, Bram
Stoker and more. Performance dates
and locations are as follows: May 22
at 3:30 p.m. at the Nola Brantley
Memorial Library, 721 Watson
Boulevard in Warner Robins; May 22
at 6 p.m. at the Perry Public Library,

The City of Warner Robins will make available for Public inspection a copy
of the 2008-2009 Proposed General Fund Budget at the City Clerk's Office,
City Hall, during regular hours 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. The
Budget is an estimate of the financial requirements of each city department
for fiscal year 2008-2009.
Notice is also given that a Public Hearing will be held on the 2008-2009
General Fund Budget on June 2, 2008 in the Council Chambers, City Hall
at 6:30 p.m. at which time any person wishing to be heard on the 2008-2009

OBITUARIES
TBgL Robert Rauch (USAF Ret.)
KATHLEEN - Robert (Bob) Rauch, 61, entered into rest on
Tuesday, May 13, 2008.
Bob was born on December 8, 1946 in Youngstown, Ohio. He
served his country in the US. Air
Force as a Technical Sergeant
and, later, as a Program Manager i K'v. Ill.f.OtJC'.ff
in Electronic Warfare at Robins wN¥ °* : Mc ** ! '
Air Force Base. A devoted and
loving husband, father and grandfather, he was a member of Christ
United Methodist Church where he was active in the men’s group
and previously taught Sunday school.
He was co-leader of the Minimees Club and a member of the
VFW. His parents, Robert Rauch and Muriel Rauch, preceded him
in death.
His memory will forever be treasured his wife, Rosemary Rauch,
children Chris Rauch, Karen Miovas (Paul), Karen Bard (Chris),
Greg Gonzales (Kay); grandchildren, Meagan and Danielle Bard,
Addison, Matthew and Jackson Gonzalez; sister, Judith Rauch.
A memorial service was held Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Christ
United Methodist Church. Reverend Tommy Martin officiated. In
lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Christ
United Methodist Church Building Fund, 511 Russell Parkway,
Warner Robins, GA 31088.

Raymond Arthur Elliott
PERRY - Raymond Arthur Elliott, 76, entered into rest on May
14, 2008.
Mr. Elliott was born on April 18, 1932 in Sidney, Ohio. With pride
and honor he served his country
in the United States Navy, where nCt. IXT.OIJC.ft
he served in the Korean Conflict. *« w r ” A H ° w *
He was a machinist with Alcoa
and a life-long member of The American Veterans.
His parents, Leo Arthur and Bertha K. Elliott, brother, Robert
Elliott, sister, Beverly Benkert, and grandchild, Brent Davis, pre
ceded him in death.
His memory will be forever treasured by his wife of fifty-seven
years, Nancy Lee Elliott, Perry; daughter, Nanette Rae Elliott,
Colorado; son, Scott Anthony Elliott, and wife, Rose, Bonaire;
brothers, Richard Elliott, William Elliott, and James Elliott, all of
Ohio; grandchildren, Zachary, Jeremy, and Aubrey Elliott, Bonaire,
and Nathan Brown and Nicholas Brown, Knob Noster, Missouri;
and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family would like
memorial donation to be sent to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103
Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.

Larry Joseph Emerick
BONAIRE - Larry Joseph Emerick, 60, passed away Friday, May
16, 2008. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Keith is
survived by his wife; Barbara Emory Emerick; daughters Amanda
Johnson of Bonaire; Valerie Emerick of Augusta and son Michael
(Erika) Emerick of Marietta.
