A meeting with Warner
Robins High followed,
and it turned out that the
Eagles saved their best for
their top rival. Left-hander
Kyle Farmer threw a com
plete-game six-inning win,
and Northside made a 7-
2 lead after two innings
stick in the 11-4 Final.
The Eagle offense didn’t
get a hit in the first inning,
but found two runs from
three walks, a hit batter, two
wild pitchs and an RBI out
for Jake Deason. Northside
then increased a 2-1 lead to
7-1 in the top of the second
with a bit more use of the
bats.
Justin Key singled in
Brian Jones - who had a
one-out single - and Jordan
Couillard’s groundout scored
Andrew Pancake. The two
out damage came on an
infield single for Jonathan

Jones and a two-run home
run from Nick Boutwell.
Cole Outz of Warner
Robins singled with two outs
to get the Demons on the
board again, but with an out
at the plate the score stayed
7-2 going into the third.
Collen Brooks took the
mound for the Demons
and kept the Eagles at bay
despite a bases-loaded. no
outs situation in the third
and three walks over the
next two innings. That
allowed the Warner Robins
offense to chip away with a
Justin Burke two-out RBI
double to left in the third
(Brooks led off with a single)
and a W.J. McAllister RBI
double with two down in the
fourth (7-4).
But Northside would not
leave the bases loaded in the
sixth. After three walks, J.
Jones singled in one while
Boutwell and Clint Farmer
each had RBI outs to increase
the lead to 11-4.
Kyle Farmer struck ou,t
seven in his six innings.
Warner Robins’ Schafer
Suggs doubled and scored
his team’s first run.
DEMONS SHUT OUT JONES
The Warner Robins club
also had some mixed results,
including a 7-4 loss on
Thursday at home to D ’Andre
Smelter and Tattnall Square.
The Demons continued to
give coach Bill Beatty solid
defense as Burke, in cen
terfield, robbed Smelter of
a home run after making
a diving catch in Perry on
Wednesday.
Warner Robins came back
from the Tattnall loss with
an 8-0 pounding of Jones
County at home Friday. All
runs in the game scored
from the fourth inning on.
Kinnon Wildes threw the
shutout for Beatty with
only three hits allowed, two
walks and four strikeouts.
