ability and just a great desire
to win. He without a doubt is
a special player who when his
career is done will have set
every scoring record there is.”
Bill Freeman
School: Perry
Year: Senior
Position: Defender
Impact: “We do not keep
defensive states,” said Head
Coach Sam Said, “but Bill is
one of our captains and one
of the cornerstones of a three
back defense that limited region
opponents to five goals in 10
games and a total of 11 goals
through 17 games.” He added
that Freeman was the captain
of the defense and held the
defense together this year
- “learning a new system and
allowing the fewest goals in a
single season in school his
tory,” he said, “while running a
three-back system in front of a
freshman keeper.” Helped the
Panthers finish 16-2 overall
- including 16 straight wins to
start - Region 4-AAA runner-up
at 9-1, and earn a state playoff
berth.
Other: Was named the
team’s Co-Most Valuable
Player.
Elias Hall
School: Perry
Year: Senior
Position: Midfielder
Impact: He scored a team
high 17 goals and had another
team high 11 assists. “He is
easily the most dangerous
player I have coached on any
set pieces and has scored close
to 60 goals in his four years as
a starter for us,” said Said. “He
has also taken all of our penalty
kicks for the last three years
and has scored on every one.
Helped the Panthers finish 16-2
overall - including 16 straight
wins to start - Region 4-AAA
runner-up at 9-1, and earn a
state playoff berth.

one I have seen this year,” Said
said. “He has played all three
striker positions for us this year
and has even been used some
as a defensive mid depending
on what we were trying to do
and the game situation. Helped
the Panthers finish 16-2 overall
- including 16 straight wins to
start - Region 4-AAA runner-up
at 9-1, and earn a state playoff
berth.

Scott Adams 111
School: Warner Robins
Year: Senior
Position: Striker
Impact: Recorded 11 goals
and had eight assists. Had a
shot on goal percentage of 61
percent and scoring percentage
of 18 percent. Was the team
leader in assists. Helped the
Demons finish 13-5-1 overall,
Region 1 -AAAAA champion at
10-2 and earn an Elite Eight
berth in the state playoffs.
Other: Was a two-year var
sity letterman. Earned Player of
the Game honors three times.

speed and skill added a well
needed attacking element to our
game this year. He was able

who can play both offense
and defense. His ability to get
the quick counter going really
helped us down the stretch.”

son, McCook said. “His ability
to adapt to different roles on the
team allowed us to continue to
have fresh legs on the field.”

Kyle Turcotte

Impact: Kyle was our first
player off the bench and really
had some great games where
we scored immediately when
he stepped on the field, said
McCook. “His speed and never
give up attitude really sparked
us on to several victories this
season.” Helped the Bears fin
ish 16-5 overall, 10-2 and run
ner-up in Region 1 -AAAAA and
earn an Elite Eight berth in the
state playoffs.

like lightning in a bottle for us

Kyle Clodfelter

son went along, McCook said.
“This was the most competitive
position we had going in to the
season. Kyle had numerous
big games and collected seven
shutouts on the season with an
88 percent save percentage.”

natural defenders that I have
had the pleasure of coaching
and understands the game as
well as anyone.
“I can say with great certainty
that without Bill and Sance we
would have allowed at least
five-six goals in each of our
last four contests. Helped the
