Hint Bnpgies set to open new membep centep

Flint Energies has
announced its new member
center for Houston County
will open July 21 at 8 a.m.
The new building at
98 Carl Vinson Parkway
is, according to a release,
replacing the 1600 Elberta
Road office which will close
for the final time July 18 at
5 p.m.
According to Jimmy Autry,
Sr. Vice President for Flint,
other changes will take
place that affect members
of the not-for-profit electric
cooperative.

Road office be closed and
replaced by the new Carl
Vinson location, but custom

School,” said Autry. “These
changes will give our mem
bers much better service at
the new building, and the
Service Center will return
to its role as a back office
engineering and operations
location.”
The new building, accord
ing to Autry, features more
drive-through lanes, easier
access to counter represen
tatives, and greater privacy
in the member transactions.
In addition, Flint is
announcing new bill pay
ment options, which will
make paying in person
much easier, Autry said.

for adults who are regular
guests, so offering a special
program for kids is a natu
ral extension of that. Plus,
as kids are quick to note,
not including them, is ‘not
fair!”’

“Concurrent with the open
ing of our new building, we
have signed agreements with
Atlantic Southern Bank to
allow them to accept Flint
bill payments in a real-time
fashion,” he said. “Members
who pay their bills at
Atlantic Southern branches
will have their Flint records
updated as soon as they are
paid. We will begin with the
Atlantic Southern Bank
branch in Roberta and move
to add Byron and Bonaire
bank locations as the year
progresses.”
After July 21, Flint mem
bers in the eastern part of
its service area will be able
to pay their bills at these
locations:
■ 98 Carl Vinson Parkway,
restaurants in Alabama,
Georgia, North Carolina,
South Carolina and Virginia
during the three-month peri
od will receive a bookmark/
frequency card with their
first meal. The bookmark
recommends summertime
reading ideas for kids ages
5 through 10. The frequency
card is pre-stamped with one
stamp so the kids only need

The new building was built
on Flint’s 38.3-acre tract of
land at the southeast corner
of Carl Vinson Parkway and
Russell Parkway. Access to
the building will be from
Carl Vinson Parkway.
“The building is roughly
30,000 square feet and two
stories on a 7.7-acre sife,”
said Autry. The new facility
will house about 50 Flint
employees moved from other
locations.
Not only will the build
ing serve walk-in members,
but host a state-of-the-art
call center for answering
inbound phone calls.
