DOG SHOW - Tractor Supply
Company in Warner Robins/
Byron is hosting the Dog Daze
of Summer Children Fun Dog
Show July 26. It is free to the
public. It begins at 9 a.m. and
will be inside the store. The
show is for children ages 4 to
14 and will include several fun
classes including largest, small
est, hairiest, least hairiest, hap
piest tail, best trick, best cos
tume and most obedient. There
is a special class that adults
can participate: best owner/dog
look-alike. Prizes will be given to
the winners. Each child partici
pating will receive a gift. All dogs
are required to be on a leash.

■ HAPPY HOUR YARD
SALE - Recycled treasures will
be available at Happy Hour's
monthly indoor yard sale. It will
be held July 19 from 8 a.m.-1
p.m. There will be a large selec
tion of items for sale. Volunteers
are needed on Friday from noon
-6 p.m. as well as from 8 a.m.-1
p.m. the morning of the sale.
Donations in good condition are
always welcome. All proceeds
from the sale go directly back
to serving our clients needs. For

- The Perry Kiwanis Club
encourages everyone to support
their recycle program which has
now expanded to include many
more items. Recyclable items
collected by the Kiwanis Club
now include: cell phones, inkjet
cartridges, laser printer cartridg
es, old laptop computers (include
all power cord and accessories
when possible), ipods, pdas,
working DVDs, digital cameras,
video games and game sys
tems, and GPS systems. Turn
your trash into cash that sup
ports local charities and youth
scholarship programs of the

WORKSHOPS - As part of the
Georgia Made Georgia Grown
initiative, two professional devel
opment workshop for artisans
are being offered locally. On
July 23, Artist Anne Jenkins will
present “Get Your Free Website
and Sell Your Art Online Today”.

Center from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.

■ SOUTHEASTERN
SHINDIG - The Southeastern
Shindig will be rolling into the
Georgia National Fairgrounds
and Agricenter (McGill Bldg.)
Aug. 2. The doors open at 8
a.m. and the event runs until 4
p.m. (Attendees will not be able
to park their cars inside the build
ing if arriving after 11 a.m.) The
event, according to a release,
will be a family oriented meet
and-greet event that is exclu
sively for owners of Chrysler's
LX platform of vehicles, which
incluc|e the Chrysler 300, Dodge
Magnum, Dodge Charger and
the hotly anticipated Dodge
Challenger. There is no cost to
attend this event and the only
requirement is that you own one
of these vehicles. Door prizes
will be given away periodically
throughout the day in addition
to vendor sponsored drawings.
Additionally, “How To” clinics will
be given by our vendors and
sponsors for products pertaining
to the LX platform vehicles.

Cross will host its annual meet

Association of Retired Federal

OBITUARIES
Richard B. McFadden
WARNER ROBINS - Richard B. McFadden, Jr, 57, entered into
rest on Saturday, July 12, 2008.
Mr. McFadden, better known as “Daddy Mac”, was born on
Match 17, 1951 in Macon, Georgia. He was a former employee of
Schwartz in Macon. He spent twenty five years coaching and dur
ing that time coached two junior and senior league state champion
ship teams at Warner Robins American Little League.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Regina
McFadden, his three sons, Richie McFadden, Daryl McFadden
(Shonda) and Rodney McFadden, all of Warner Robins.

Michael Lipowski
MCALPIN, Florida - Mr. Michael Lipowski, 55 |
Monday, July 7, 2008. Born and raised in Ohio,
Warner Robins for 14 years before moving to
Florida. During his time in Georgia, He worked
at the Happy Hour in Warner Robins.
Michael was preceded in death by his father,
Michael Lipowski: sister, Mary Anne Nancarrow;
great nephew Dalmacio James.
Left to cherish his memory include moth
er Eugenia Lipowski: sister Christina Laliberte
and husband Joe Laliberte of Florida; brother
Jim Lipowski of California; sister Karen Herak
and husband Micheal Herak of Warner Robins;
brother Blaze Lipowski and wife Linda Lipowski
of Florida; brother-in-law Thomas Nancarrow of
Ohio; and a number of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and
nephews.
A memorial service is scheduled at Sacred Heart Church in
Warner Robins Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 11 a.m.
Dixie Harte
Warner Robins - Dixie Harte, 87, entered into rest Monday, July
14, 2008.
Mrs. Harte was born near Ellington, Georgia, on November 16,
1920. She was well regarded in the community as the owner of
Harte's Shoe Shop.
Forever treasuring her memory are her three children, Bob
Harte, Warner Robins, Tip Harte, Louisiana and Bill Harte (Bo),
Warner Robins.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 16, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at
McCullough Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 17,
2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment
following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
