Two juveniles arrested in connection with car thefts

Two juveniles have been
arrested in conjunction with
a case that began Thursday.
Events began at about 4:50
a.m. that day when Warner
Robins Police Department
Patrol Officer Bradley
Beryamin was responding to
assist Warner Robins Police
Officer Carder Gravitt.
Gravitt was following a
reported stolen vehicle.
Benjamin, while en route,
was traveling west in the
400 block of McArthur
Boulevard when a'-vehicle
traveling east on McArthur
Boulevard collided with his
patrol vehicle. The driver
of the vehicle then fled the
scene on foot.
Benjamin sustained physi
cal injuries and was taken
to a local hospital for treat
ment. His injuries, accord
ing to a release, were not life
threatening.
A continuing investigation
determined that the vehicle
that struck Beiyamin’s vehi
cle had been stolen earlier on
this date from a residence in

Three arrests have been made
related to a series of thefts from cars
parked overnight near Perry motels.

A second stolen vehicle
was located near the scene of
the accident and was aban
doned. That vehicle was the
subject of the initial request
for assistance from Gravitt.
At around 8 p.m. that same
day, members of the Warner
Robins Police Department
arrested a male juvenile (16
years of age) and charged
him with the several offens
es “unrelated” to the acci
dent involving Benjamin.
But, the juvenile is being
considered a suspect in the
accident as well as the theft
of vehicles reported from
Wall Street and American
Boulevard.
He is being detained at a
Regional Youth Development
Center.
He is being charged with:
One count of theft by receiv
ing, three counts of enter
ing an automobile and three
counts of theft by taking
(motor vehicle).
The following day, Friday,
at around 5 p.m., members
of the Warner Robins Police

friends and fellow-officers as “Q”,
had the area around the Jameson
motel off Sam Nunn Blvd, under sur
veillance from an unmarked car when
she spotted the three attempting to
enter a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt.

Department arrested a sec
ond juvenile (also 16 years of
age) and charged him with
a handful of offenses that
“are related” to the accident
involving Bergamin as well
as the theft of vehicles from
Wall Street and American
Boulevard.
The juvenile is also being
detained at a Regional Youth
Development Center.
He is charged with: Two
counts of theft by tak
ing (vehicle), one count of
entering an automobile, one
count of aggravated battery
on a peace officer; one count
of serious injury by a motor
vehicle, one count of hit and
run (duty to stop at an acci
dent with injury), one count
of duty to make immedi
ate report of accident, one
count of reckless driving,
one count of driving on
roadway laned for traffic
and one count of driving
without a license.
The investigation is con
tinuing and the juveniles
above have been turned
over to the Houston County
Juvenile Division.
The Board of Managers
directs and manages the
overall affairs of the orga
nization.
He will also assist in coordi
nating the County Attorneys
Section’s activities with the
overall programs of ACCG,
will serve as the parliamen
tarian for the Association’s
Fall Legislative Conference,
and will be called upon to
provide guidance to the staff

With assistance from Cpl. Nick Brown,
all three were caught and arrested,
and a number of items taken from
Golden’s residence near the motel as
well as other locations.

The District Attorney said
that the theft by taking
charge is a felony.
