and Crumpton agreed that the
budgeted $30,000 left over
from the sell of another truck,
Rescue 1, would be just right
for this project.
Engine 21 is currently under
going complete restoration
efforts: New tailboard/running
boards, all new tires, fresh
paint job, chroming, brakes
and exhaust.
The motor has needed only
minor repairs and is running
well. Most of the repairs and
restoration have been done in

to the victim and he was
taken to the Houston Medical
Center where he was later
pronounced dead.
A continuing investigation
determined that the victim
and his juvenile sister trav
eled to the pond on foot
that is in the area of their
residence. The sibling of the
victim reported she saw the
victim enter the pond and
then go under water. She
began to scream for help
when another male juve
nile, 16 years of age, passing
by heard her. The juvenile
used his cell phone to call
Houston County 911 and
then gave the phone to the
girl to speak with the 911
Dispatcher.
The male juvenile then
entered the water in an
attempt to locate the vic
tim prior to the arrival of
police and fire units. He was
unsuccessful.
Warner Robins Police
Department Detective Mark
Wright and Houston County
Juvenile Division investiga
tor Sgt. Quinn Lumpkin are
continuing the investiga
tion.
