Heath Dykes of the Perry Police Department. Most of the vehicles belonged to students, he said. I Pod’s, cell phones and other items were sto len. In what was apparent ly a related incident, on Monday school Resource Officer Thomas Daily dis covered a vehicle in the ditch close to the post office on North Ave. Officers at that time also observed two black males running from the vehicle. It was a Plymouth Voyager van that belongs to a teacher at Perry High School. According to Dykes, the two boys entered the van and then drove it through the bus ramp, damaging the awning, and knock ing over several poles. The collision caused extensive damage to the vehicle and the bus ramp. * The two suspects - juve niles - are students at Perry High School. Both were arrested. Prior to stealing the van they had broken into another teacher’s vehicle and stolen a Nintendo DS Game boy, and other items, Dykes said. Both students were charged with eight counts of entering an auto, one count of theft by tak ing a motor vehicle, inter ference with government property and disruption of a public school. The students are being held at the Youth Detention Center in Macon pending their hearing. “We were able to recover most of the high dollar items, such as I Pod’s, cell phones, and the Nintendo, ” Dykes added. The same thing took place at riot all, of the schools in Houston County and around the nation. It was part of a program called “See You At The Pole”. See You At The Pole is all about prayer. It’s a ride you too can take as part of the Museum of Aviation’s World War II Hangar exhibit, set to open Oct. 17. The ride takes place aboard a cut-away C-47.
