From staff reports

I’m so fed up with the whole

Act 2: Impeachments
Does a second-quarter
onside kickoff count as a
high crime or misdemeanor?
Especially if you are behind
in the polls?
There is one SEC football
coach about to head into the
land of exile, joining Ray
Goff, Jim Donnan and Terry
Bowden. Phillip Fulmer, no

Officials did confer and

and the Hornets were in
business to increase the
lead.

His jaunt set up the Trojan’s last score.
Dougherty’s Ezekiel Knowles’ bowled over
three Perry defenders en route to a 36-yard
touchdown.
The Trojans went for two but the Panther
defense appeared to foil the pass attempt
following a conversion on fourth
down.
Eddy recovered another fumble
early in the third quarter when it
appeared Lowndes was determined
to give the Demons another score.
Following the turnover Warner
Robins stalled. But a personal foul
gave them life. It stalled again but
again the Vikings fumbled.
This time it was the Demons’
turn to convert on fourth down.
McAllister found Michael Garner
to the 9 for the first-and-goal and
then on the next play Aaron Allen
ran it in. David Clark made both
PAT’s.
Lowndes, which had five fum
bles up until that point, finally
put a drive together to go up 28-14
and then turned an interception
- aided by a personal foul - into a
score.
Offensive Operations.
There are so many other
logical moves that I’ll go
ahead and lay them all out
to save these athletic direc
tors a lot of campaigning
time.
Rich Rodriguez is a hated
man in Michigan, so much so
the deposed mayor of Detroit,
Kwame Kilpatrick, is prob
ably a conquering hero by
comparison right now. The
District of Clemson needs a
new leader, and that’s where
Rich got his start working
under the recently removed
Tommy Bowden.
So let’s go ahead and call
Rodriguez for Clemson. Who
are we going to now put in
Ann Arbor? This is like one
of those Price is Right games
where you try to match up
tags with prizes, and pull a
lever to see how many are
right. So Les Miles, come
on up! Maybe the ESPN
Game Day guys won’t mess it
up for you this time.
LSU? Well, take your pick.
Bobby Johnson (Vanderbilt).
Mike Gundy (Oklahoma
State). Mark Dantonio
(Michigan State). Why did
I list these three names?
Because they are from schools
which LSU has vetted before
(Miles from OSU and Saban
from MSU).
And where are we going
to put Bobby Petrino? Isn’t
about time for him to start
planning some 2 a.m. news
conference after a free ride
on an Auburn-issued jet?
Act 3: The New Deal?
I see where the BCS is
inside the 1, and the quar
terback cleaned it up with a
sneak at 8:37 (21-0).
Mount de Sales had three
personal foul calls against
it in the half. The first
hampered its next series,
which resulted in a punt to
the Hornet 40.
Lee had a first-down gain
to the MDS 48, but his

Makes me wonder what
the status is on Fox’s deal

part of this kind of history,
the deciding game split up

Wouldn’t be something,
though, if a truly bad storm

of the Super Bowl just min

the Indianapolis Colts beat
the Chicago Bears in pouring
down rain in Miami in 2007,
but I want to know what
happens if real unplayable
conditions prevail.
Nothing will stop this game
from beginning, but could you
imagine NFL officials not let
ting the players back on the
field after halftime. “Well,
we’ll have to play the second
half on Monday. No, wait,
more bad weather tomorrow.
Looks like everyone will have
to come back Tuesday to fin
ish it out.”
And the fourth quar
ter doesn’t happen until
Thursday.
