All eight of Kendrick’s fourth-period points came in succession for his team. Senior Michael Walker added a trey in a stretch where Perry outscored Americus- Sumter 14-3. Perry also made 12 out of 15 foul shot attempts in the fourth. Americus-Sumter missed six from the stripe in that same span. ' It took several minutes for the gathered crowd to get into this game due to the sloppy play from both sides. Even two nice assists from McGhee - a no-looker to Jones plus another one to Jones against the press - did little to spark excitement. A length-of-the-floor throw from Kendrick to Jones woke things up and gave Perry a 12-6 lead. The six Americus-Sumter points came off ball-han dling turnovers.
