Located at 515 Myrtle St in Warner Robins, the Habitat Restore, according to a release, is a retail outlet selling new and gently used building materials at a frac tion of normal prices. Proceeds from the ReStore help the Habitat affiliate fund home construction in Houston County. According to the release, the ReStore accepts donat ed new and gently used goods from retailers, manu facturers, distributors, con tractors and homeowners. Retailers and manufactur ers can donate end-of-line, scratch-and-dent, discontin ued inventory, paint mis tint and customer returns to the ReStore and avoid the cost of returning them to the manufacturer. Because Habitat for Humanity is a certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organi zation, the donations may be eligible for a tax deduc tion. At the ReStore customers, according to the release, can expect to find: “applianc es and furniture as well as building materials like: win dows, doors, paint, plumb ing, electrical, hardware, lumber, tools, lighting fix tures and even the kitchen sink!” “For the do-it-yourself or professional handyman, the ReStore can be the first place to shop for building materials at a real bar gain.” If items for donation are too difficult to move, the ReStore will arrange a time to pick-up the items direct ly from your home free of charge. The ReStore is seeking vol unteers to help with dona tion pick ups and receiving, cashier, customer service, pricing, stocking shelves, cleaning and repairing, and marketing.
