He’s a strong boy, isn’t he?” next enquired the chair. “How old is he?” “He’s seven years old,” said 1, “and he is a strong boy, sure enough.” “He don’t sit very still on me,” said the chair, “But I don’t object. The chair on the other side of the table says that the little girl always sits quite still when she is at the table, but then girls don’t wiggle as much as boys. Do they ?’ ’ “No,” said I. “Os course you can’t expect boys to sit as still as girls,” the chair went on. “Now, your boy scratches the rounds up with his shoes when he’s at the table, but I don’t care; and if he only will come back, he may scratch me up as much as he pleases, for I never missed anybody so much in all my life.” “Yes,” I said, “it seems that everything in the house misses him.” About that time I bad finished eating my breakfast, and was about to leave the room, when the chair asked: “Do you ever hear from the boy, or w'rite to him?” “Oh, yes,” I said, “I received a letter the other day, and I am going to write to him to-day.” “Well, give him my love when you write,” said the chair. “And give my love to the little girl,” said the chair on the other side of the table. “And give my love to the lady,” said the arm-chair by the window. And that is why 1 am writing, to give you all these messages from the empty chairs back here, for they miss you very much indeed, and so does Your loving Father. Anti-Saloon League Work. Dr. Homer W. Rheumaticine ...8a1m... m aiHi ■■■■■■■■■■ / ■ - II TAKES II THE If PAIN i ■ lit I I Hl' 111 AWAY i B li®|: i ■■l • A combination containing a freely absorbed Salicylate, eliminating the objections of the internal Salicylic treatment. Its therapy in RHEUMATISM, NEURALGIA, MYALGIA, SCIAT ICA, and all forms of pain, it has proved most potential in the treat ment of Rheumatism, both acute and •chronic, and in cases of Neuralgia, Sciatica, Tabes and Arthritic Gout. It has been used with marked advan tage in relieving headache and tooth ache, and also for bronchitis and af fections of the throat. It has been used with success in treating pleuret ic and peritoneal pains, and in severe cases of phlebitis. Rheumaticine Balm is used Exter nally. Applied externally, its action is quite comparable to that produced by the internal employment of Sali cylate of Soda, which it advanta geously replaces, especially as it spares the stomach and nervous sys tem; one avoids also the cutaneous manifestations going from simple erythema to chronic, pimply eczema, that the Salicylate of Soda produces with a great number of invalids. The use of Rheumaticine on the skin does not change in any way the aspect of the epidermis, even after repeated ap plications. < Price Per Tube, 50 Cents, Postpaid. THE V. E. PERRYMAN CO.
