Tt is a fact worthy of more than passing notice that on the Wednesday fol’.'wing the local election in Atlanta, Ga., there was not a single case called in the police court. This may be only a remarkable coincidence, but we cannot fail to believe it is an incident directly traceable to the fact that on Tuesday, election day, every sajoon in the city of Atlanta was closed to the public. The case was the more significant because on the same Wednesday morn ing the “Docket” was supplied with a full list c o£ prisoners—being those left over from Monday when the saloons were all open and all doing a dou ble business to make up for the day of closing!
