REV. RICHARD ORME FLINN.
ATLANTA, GA., FEBRUARY 20, 1913
~ • ’ R BROUGHTON will open the Con-
tference with an address, to be fol
lowed by Dr. G. Campbell Morgan,
who comes to America with Dr.
Broughton, for this Conference ex
clusively. The Conference this
year will eclipse any former gath-
L__j__ ering, both in strength of program
—J and in out-of-town attendance.
Ministers and laymen from all parts of the
United States are signifying by letter their in
tention to attend.
The mere fact of the announcement that Drs.
Broughton and Morgan will be present through
the Conference, is sufficient guarantee that
the Tabernacle, with its 5,000 seating capacity,
will be taxed to its utmost. The officers of
the Atlanta Bible Conference Association, have
made it one of the stipulated agreements in the
program that Dr. Broughton himself speak
daily during the Conference. This he has never
done before, owing to the fact that it was a
Conference controlled and directed by him. A
year ago the ministers and laymen of the Epis
copal, Presbyterian, Methodist, Congregational
ist and Baptist Churches organized themselves
into a Bible Conference Association, secured a
charter for same, and the following officers
were elected:
Rev. Richard Orme Flinn, D. D., pastor
North Avenue Presbyterian Church, vice-presi
dent and chairman of the executive committee.
John J. Egan, treasurer.
H. A. Ethridge, attorney and secretary.
John W. Ham, Conference secretary.
The Conference is interdenominational in
support and non-denominational in teaching.
The expenses of the Conference being provided
for entirely by the free will offerings of the
people in attendance.
Dr. G. Campbell Morgan.
Dr. Morgan’s coming to America, especially
for this Conference, is hailed with delight by
preachers, teachers and laymen from all parts
of the United States. He occupies a position
of leadership in the world as an expositor and
preacher unexcelled by any. His marked
scholarship was the controlling factor in his
election a year ago to the presidency of Chest
nut College—the Protestant section of the
schools embraced in the Cambridge Schools of
England. Dr. Morgan is the author of 50
volumes on various subjects. These will be on
sale during the Conference. He will speak
twice daily.
Dr. James M. Gray.
Dr. Gray, Dean of Moody Bible Institute,
Chicago, will be present during the entire ses
