is not to escape without retribution.
God is on the watch. He knew what
was in the heart of Miriam and He
held her to the day of account. And
her rotten flesh dropping from her
bones tells the story of God’s attitude
to fiendish jealousy. I have read an
other story, of two men, both in love
with the same girl, not an unfrequent
occurrence. One of them died. When
he died, she put a handsome monu
ment over his grave, and when the
other fellow saw that monument had
been built there by this girl, he was
so jealous of the fellow that was dead
that he actually got a tool of some
sort and went there and tried to turn
the thing over, and in the effort to
turn it over he broke his own neck.
That is the reward. That is the way
jealousy plays. May God help us to
learn these things, and live by them.

THE GOLDEN AGE FOR WEEK OF DEC. 18, 1913
USE RED CROSS SEALS ON ALL
HOLIDAY GIFTS—ONE CENT
EACH.
Red Cross Seals are everywhere
recognized as messengers of holiday
cheer; nor do they carry merely a sen
timent of good cheer but have really
saved the lives of thousands of those
suffering from tuberculosis. Still oth
er thousands have been prevented
from taking the disease by the educa
tional work that has been done and is
being done with the proceeds of the
sale of these little stickers. You can
help the tuberculosis societies to spread
the gospel of fresh air and sunshine,
and to develop the co-operation with
factory and folks that will root out
this preventable disease. It is only
necessary to buy the Red Cross
Seals. Get them of your nearest agent.
If none is near you, you may become
the voluntary agent for your section.
For any information pertaining there
to, or the purchase of seals, address
the Red Cross Christmas Seal Com
