Sims is hop ing the team can gain confidence in those contests before entering the region portion of the slate. “The region will still be tough, even with less teams,” Sims said. “Our players know what type of challenge they have in front of them.” AHS will travel to North Oconee High School on Aug. 12 for a preseason scrim mage before opening the regular season two weeks later on Aug. 26 when it hosts River Ridge High School at R. Harold Harrison Stadium.
