• LOCATION
Our permanent office is the current Barrow Journal office, located
at
77 East May Street, Winder, Ga. 30680.
It is located between First American Bank and Heritage Realty.
The existing Barrow County News office at Holly Hill Mall will be
closed.
• OFFICE HOURS
Our office will be open Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5 PM

• PUBLICATION DAY
The newly-merged newspaper will be published once per week
on Wednesdays. If you are a subscriber, you’ll receive your news
paper in Thursday’s mail if you live in Barrow County. It will be
available on news racks on Wednesday evenings. The last
Sunday edition will be August 14, 2016.
• REPORT NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

• WEBSITE
For mobile, web and electronic editions, go to
BarrowJournal.com. The Barrow County News web site,
BarrowCountyNews.com. will be operational for a limited time.
• PLACE A CLASSIFIED AD
Classified ads that run in the combined edition of the Barrow
County News & Barrow Journal also will run in our sister news
papers: Jackson Herald (Jefferson), Commerce News
(Commerce), Braselton News (Braselton), Banks County News
(Homer) and Madison County Journal (Danielsville). Your ad will
also run online at MainStreetNews.com. All this for one low
price.
Classified pricing is as follows:
If your ad is placed via our website, MainStreetNews.com. 25
words or less is $11 per run (week). Each additional word is 200
a word. Add a photo or border for only $10 per week more.
If ad is placed via telephone, fax, in person or mail: Each 25-word
classified ad costs $16 per week, each word over 25th word is .25
each.
• PLACE A BUSINESS AD
Newspaper business advertising is the most effective and most
cost-efficient way to market your business. To inquire about

The charge to publish an obituary is $55 per notice for 250 words
or less and the notice will be published in all six newspapers cov
ering Banks, Barrow, Jackson and Madison counties. Over 250
words will be charged at 15 cents per word. There will be no
charge for the online posting to our website. Photographs are free
if the family chooses to submit one.
• SUBSCRIBE TO NEWSPAPER
Subscriptions to the newly merged newspaper are $25 per year
(52 weekly issues). You may subscribe online at
BarrowJournal.com. by phone at 770-867-NEWS or at our office
located at 77 East May Street in Winder.
If you are a current subscriber to the Barrow Journal or the
Barrow County News and received this copy of the newspaper in
the mail at your home or business, you don’t need to do anything -
you’re set.
For subscribers to the Barrow County News, your subscription will
be extended for twice the amount of time remaining on your sub
scription. You will receive a notification before your subscription
expires.
For subscribers to both the Barrow County News and Barrow
Journal, your subscription will also be extended to cover your
remaining time for both subscriptions. You will also receive a noti
fication before your subscription expires.
• CIRCULARS & SALE PAPERS
You will receive all advertising inserts, circulars and sale papers
that various companies provide to us only if you are a sub
scriber to this newspaper or get it via a newsstand. If you
have previously received a newspaper at your home without hav
ing been a subscriber, this will not continue.
• LEGAL NOTICES
The Barrow Journal is the current Legal Organ for Barrow County.
The placement of legal notices and advertising will not change.
