Braselton Police Department Arrests
Man arrested for DUI with juvenile in car
A man was arrested for driving under the influence last
week with a 14-year-old in the vehicle. Officers with the
Braselton Police Department arrested Jerry Keith Fix for
DUI-drugs and failure to yield when entering the road
way.
Fix was unaware he pulled out in front of another
vehicle when he exited a Hwy. 53 gas station parking lot.
Officers say he had extremely slurred, slow speech.
“It seemed that it was laboring for Fix to speak,” said
the officer. “He was also unsteady on his feet and had a
hard time maintaining his balance, using the vehicle for
support several times. I also noticed that Fix’s eyes were
bloodshot and watery, and his face was flushed.”
He took a field sobriety test. Field attempted two
exercises and told officers both times that he could not
continue.
He tested negative for alcohol but told officers he’d
taken prescribed Adderall earlier in the day to help him
recover from the sleep medicine he takes.
UNDERAGE DRINKING INSIDE VEHICLE
Officers with the BPD also recently arrested two people
on underage drinking and open container charges. Marion
Elizabeth Smith was arrested for possession of alcohol
under 21-years-old. Edward Albert Saca was arrested for
open container of alcohol while driving, disorderly con
duct and purchasing alcohol for a minor.
The two were stopped for a broken headlight. Saca said
he did not have a license, his name was “Eddie Saka” and
his birthday was April 20, 1994.
Officers smelled alcohol coming from the vehicle and
saw a Bud Light “Mang-O-Rita” in the cup holder. Saca
A man recently pulled a gun on a woman at a Braselton
bar and grill. Officers with the Braselton Police Depart

Officers spoke with a man and woman in the parking
lot, but they denied anything had happened. They said
there was no fight, but told officers there was another
group of people in the lot earlier that may have been
involved.
But officers noticed the woman was injured. Her knees
were bleeding, and the man didn’t have his shoes on. His
clothes were disheveled “as if he had been involved in an
altercation.”
When asked about their appearance, the couple told
officers that a man followed them out of the bar and
pulled a gun on the woman. The two men started fighting
in the parking lot.
Officers spoke with the woman, who “was extremely
intoxicated” and repeatedly said that a man “pointed

The daughter had created an

The two had been talking on Skype
for a month. The mother showed
officers sexually explicit messages
sent from “Charlie” to her daughter.
The teenager had sent nude photos
to the man.
The woman said her daughter
video conferenced with the man,
but he would not show himself over
video and only sent messages. But he
could see her daughter over video on
his computer.
The mother sent messages to the
man, telling him to stop contacting
her daughter.
She then called the man and he
accidentally answered with his cam

male, bald with a white mustache
who tried to cover the camera to
avoid being seen.
The daughter later told her mother
that the man’s real name was Mark.
Officers saw the name on the Skype
account said “Charlie,” with a loca
