WINDER-BARROW COMMUNITY THEATRE MAKES DONATION
The Winder-Barrow Community Theatre recently finished the third show of
the 2016 Main Stage Season. “Hello Dolly” was a hit with the audiences, and
a part of the proceeds of the ticket sales was donated to the Barrow County
Cooperative Benevolence Ministries for the local Food Pantry. A total of
$865.50 was donated with $539.50 donated by WBCT and $326 donated by
audience members who made donations during the run of the show. Canned
food was also donated by people attending the show. The Barrow County
Food Pantry distributes food monthly through several programs and serves
up to 6,000 people every year. It takes a lot of money and food to keep this
program running, and they are always thankful for any donations. For more
information about Winder-Barrow Community Theatre and other upcoming
shows and events, please see the website at www.winderbarrowtheatre.org.

Cast set for ‘Cotton Patch Gospel ’
The Winder-Barrow Community The
atre recently announced the cast of “Cot
ton Patch Gospel”. The show dates are
Sept. 16-18 and Sept. 23-15.
This musical with music and lyrics by
Harry Chapin was written by Tom Key
and Russell Treyz. The play is based on
the book “The Cotton Patch Version of
Matthew and John” by Clarence Jordan.
The show presents the gospel story
of the life of Jesus as if he was bom in
Gainesville, Georgia. What would we
have said and done if Jesus had been
bom right here in Georgia? How would
we have reacted when he was telling the
world why he was here? The show is
a lot of fun but still presents the gospel
story.
