‘Tom’Dupont Sr.
Thomas “Tom” Fran
cis Dupont, Sr., 81, died
Sunday August 28, 2016,
at Northridge Medical
Center.
Born in Kimberly, Wis.,
on April 1, 1935, Tom
was one of seven chil
dren bom to Joseph and
Agnes Dupont. He met
the love of his life, Doro
thy Ann Polman, at Kim
berly High School. The
two married while Tom
was attending St. Nor-
bert College on a football
scholarship. After a brief
stint in the
NFL, Tom
spent his
career as an
entrepre
neur. He also served in
the United States Naval
Reserve.
What people remember
most about Tom is his
devotion to the Lord, his
love for his family and
his adoration for sports.
An accomplished golfer,
and professional foot
ball player, he loved all
sports and enjoyed shar
ing memories with those
around him. Even though
football robbed him of
the ability to walk for the
past decade, he’d say he
would give anything to
suit-up one more time.
Equally so, he loved to
hunt and fish and relished
in sharing stories (true
and tall) about his hunts
with brothers and sons.
He was preceded in
death by the most beauti
ful women he’s ever seen,
and his wife of 58 years,
Dorothy.
Survivors include their
four children, Jean Marie
Ann (Dupont) Reese,
Charleston, S.C.; Jon
Joseph Dupont, Gray
son, Ga.; Thomas Fran
cis Dupont, Jr., Atlanta,
Ga.; and Daniel Thomas
Dupont, Commerce, Ga;
nine grandchildren; and
seven great grandchil
dren.
