The Winder Fire Department invites the public to join them at 90 North Broad Street, downtown Winder from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. At Winder Fire Station 1 you will be able to flow water from the fire hose, climb on the trucks, visit with firefighters, jump in the Fire Dog Inflatable, tour the Fire Safety House and eat lunch free. Sparky the Fire Dog will visit, too. Come join the fun and learn about Fire Safety, fire department officials said. Barrow County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Numerous arrests made in past week by Sheriff’s Office The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office reports the recent arrests of the follow ing people: •Steven Wayne Coffey, 54, 2309 Hartley Court, Statham, simple assault - Family Violence Act (FVA). •Curtis Lamar Barrett, 54, 234 Hidden Acres Road, Winder, possession of marijuana and posses sion of methamphetamine. •Christopher Edward Allen, 24, 1535 Oakhill Road, Auburn, improp er lane change/failure to MULBERRY GROVE Senior Living maintain lane, driving under the influence (DUI) of drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine. •Robert Gordon Pratt, 42, 154 Alicia Drive, Winder, knowingly driving a motor vehicle on a suspended, cancelled or revoked regis tration, possession of meth amphetamine, no insurance and possession and use of drug-related objects. •Ralph Lamar Williams, 19, 381 Turtle Creek Drive, Winder, improper lane change/failure to maintain lane and driving while driv er’s license is suspended or revoked.
