BCA SPIRIT WEEK
Celebrity Day was a favorite for the youngest Bethlehem Christian Academy students all the way to the teachers as they dressed as some of their favorite
characters including front row, Wyatt Nee (Jake from State Farm), Hunter Givens (pharaoh), Max Duke (Drew Carey), Sam Davis (Princess Kate), Knox
Atkinson (Indiana Jones), Lizzie Grace Sanchez (Shirley Temple), Hannah Tipton (Pippi Longstocking) and Mason Conley (Donald Trump); second row,
Jen Davis (Diana Ross), Drew Peevy (Jesus), Harrison Byrd (doctor), Josie Gray (Donald Trump), Mary Grace Gaddy, Olivia Morgan, Bailey Brown and
Morgan Locklar (The Wiggles) and Lindsey Suttles (Flo from Progressive).
THE SANDLOT
Elementary students recreated the cast from the 1990s movie “The Sandlot” for Celebrity Day. Shown
are Ethan Smith, Braden Passman, Wilson Farr, Alivia Goldsberry, Michael Nesbit, Maddox Collier,
Johnny Dickinson, Parker Rodriguez and Christian White.

BCA faculty got in on the fun too including

Retired Educators hold August meeting
The Barrow County Retired Educa
tors Association (BCREA) hosted Dis
tricts 13 and 14 Area meeting on Aug.
31, at the Barrow County Board of
Education.
Each year the Georgia Retired Edu
cators Association has area meetings all
across the state for the membership to
meet officers and receive information
from the state office.
Dr. Larry Johnson, Area 14 director,
called the meeting to order. After the
pledge to the Flag, Barrow County
retired educator, Mary F. Sims gave
the inspiration. All local unit presidents
were recognized.
Speakers included State President
Jesse Hunter. Hunter announced this
year’s theme - “Reach out to Make a
Difference.”
State Executive Director Bill Sloan Jr.,
and co-chair of the Archives and History
Committee, Jacqueline McClendon also
spoke. McClendon invited everyone to
visit and support the Georgia Education
Museum.
