Mr. Chandler was born in
Monroe, the son of the late,
Curtis Eugene Chandler, Sr.

Mr. Chandler
was raised in
Banks County and served in
the Army. He married his wife,
Gladys Massey, in 1949 and
then moved to Doraville in 1956
to raise his dearly loved family.
He was a hard working plumber
and he enjoyed being outdoors,
hunting, and fishing. Mr. Chan
dler was preceded in death by
his infant son, Dennis Reuben
Chandler; and brothers, Curtis
Eugene Chandler, Jr. and Daniel
Chandler.
Survivors include his wife
of 67 years, Gladys Massey
Chandler, Gainesville; daugh
ters, Rachel Hudson (James),
Branson, Mo., Peggy Tatum
(Stan), Gainesville, Mary

Sandra Cochran
MAUMELLE, ARK. - San
dra Lawrence Cochran, 69,
passed away Sunday, Septem
ber 25, 2016, at the Forth Valley
Royal Hospital in Larbert, Scot
land, following a stroke while
on vacation.
Sandy was born December 5,
1946, the daughter of the late
Joe and Doris Lawrence in San
Antonio, Texas. Sandy was pre
ceded in death by her beloved
son, Chris Dameron.
Survivors include her hus
band, Randy Cochran; Chris’
wife, Karen Ellison Dameron
and their children, Erin Dam
eron and Jake Dameron; her
daughter, Tiffany Henderson
and husband, Johnny Hender
son, and their children, Rachel
Ramaswamy and Randall
Ramaswamy; son, Eric Dam
eron and wife, Jennifer Galvan
Dameron and their children,
Jackson Dameron, Sophia Dam
eron, Drew Wolf, and Ava Wolf.
Sandy was so proud to be a
“Texas Girl” and loved being
at her home in Boerne, Texas,
tending to the goats, Irish Dex
ter Cattle, and all the wildlife
that accompanied a Texas ranch
lifestyle. Family was a prior
ity to Sandy; she was a loving
wife, mother, Oma, sister, aunt,
and cousin.
She relished her sisters, Bev
erly Lawrence Porter (Billy)
and Brenda Lawrence Partain
(Mike) and brothers, Larry
Lawrence (Pam), Dennis Rice,
and Gary Rice and all her
cousins, close friends, and her
classmates from Burbank High
School in San Antonio and her
loving neighbors in Maumelle
and in Boerne. "Cousins week
end” was a highlight that they
all looked forward to regardless
of the location.
She had a passion and tal
ent for art, excelling in several
mediums, producing amazing
still lifes, portraits, and land
scapes. She added a studio
at the Boerne home to focus
on her art projects. Mention
travel and she was ready to
go. She loved seeing the world
and she did so with Randy and
friends and family on various
trips and cruises. She was the
life of every party with a truly
infectious smile and irresistible
charm.
Funeral services were held on
Tuesday, October 4, at Homer
United Methodist Church
in Homer, with Brother Jim
McLendon officiating. A private
entombment ceremony was held
at Yonah Memorial Gardens.
Sandy has dear special friends
in both Arkansas and Texas. A
celebration of life will be held at
a later date in Maumelle, Ark.,
and another in Boerne, Texas.
Details of these ceremonies will
be forthcoming.

geous woman, loving daughter,
dedicated wife, mother, grand
mother, great-grandmother, and
friend died peacefully at her
residence on Thursday, Septem
ber 29, 2016.
Mrs. Hunter was born on Sep
tember 30, 1932, the daughter
of James Vernon Turnbull and
Lois Blanche Gordon Turnbull.
She grew up in Eastville, Ga„
attending Eastville Elementary
School and
gradu
ated from
Watkins-
ville High
School,
Class of
1951. She
played high
school bas
ketball as
a forward and enjoyed many
school days with friends.
She was a member of Union
Christian Church (Disciples of
Christ), where she was bap
tized. Following high school,
she attended Athens Business
College and worked in down
town Athens. In the spring of
1952, she met Allen A. Hunter,
Sr., and they married on Octo
ber 31, 1953.
Their life together included
membership at First Christian
Church (Disciples of Christ),
Athens, and attending the vari
ous activities of their children.
Margaret dedicated lifelong
work to support the efforts of
the National MS Foundation
following her own diagnosis of
MS in 1955. She courageously
and with determination contin
ued a ‘normal’ life carrying the
symptoms and difficulties of
MS for over 60 years.
Margaret and Allen were
married 53 years until Allen’s
death in August, 2010. Their
legacy of love continue through
their children and their fami
lies, Sheila Hunter and Michael
Small, and son, Micah Hunter
Small; Allen and Sharon Hunter
and their children, Amberly and
Matt Doggendorf and children,
Landon, Lex, Lakelynn; and
Brock and Carrie Hunter and
children, Paisley and Autry;
James and Jenny Hunter and
children, Hailey and daugh
ter, Bella; Courtney Hunter;
and Meghan and TJ Peters and
daughter, Kate; Mary and Paul
Foies and children, Justin and
Shanda Foies and children, Allie
and Nickolas; and Elizabeth and
Alan Carroll; Virginia Fleming
and children Seth, Hannah, Eli
jah, Brianna and Savannah.
Margaret Hunter’s friend
ships embraced many, both
extended family and friends, as
well as, strangers, who became
friends.
Survivors include her five
children and their spouses; 13
grandchildren and spouses; nine
great-grandchildren; brother,
Lamont Reginald Turnbull;
nieces, Beverly and Bob Barg-

nephew, Jimmy and Judy Flana

her life.
A celebration of her life

October 2, at First Christian
Church (Disciples of Christ) in
Athens. Interment was at Ever
green Memorial Park.

for being a loving and dedicated
homemaker and caregiver to her

special grandchildren, who she

Mrs. Lewallen’s wish was

ing. She also expressed if any

to wear jeans and T-shirts. She
was down to earth and didn't
want anything fancy, just to be
remembered as she was. She
was a "take me as I am” kind
of person.

Buddy, a lifelong resident of
Madison County, was the son of

Logan of Colbert. He graduated

ball, lettered

and was
an FFA
officer. He
was a long-
standing
member and deacon of Hull
Baptist Church and a founding
member of the Hull Volunteer
Fire Department. He worked for
Sears for more than ten years
before moving to the United
States Postal Service where he
retired after 30 years of service.
Buddy enjoyed playing church
league and travel softball, and
watching NASCAR racing, the
Atlanta Braves, and especially
the Georgia Bulldogs. He was
an avid fisherman and enjoyed
traveling. He was a loving hus
band, father, and grandfather.
Buddy was a kind, thoughtful
man with a generous heart for
helping others.

June Elrod Logan, Hull; two
daughters, Kim (Clayton) Dar
win, Comer, and Kristi Logan,

Bob was born in Alpharetta
on June 4, 1939. He was preced
ed in death by his parents, Ever
ett and Lula Mayfield Moulder;

and Ralph Moulder; brothers,
Leon Moulder, Jerry Moulder,
Jim, Gus, and Eddie Smith; and
daughter-in-law, Dana Moulder.
Bob was a member of
Maysville Baptist Church in
Jackson County. He loved his
church and his family. He was a
graduate of Milton High School
in Alpharetta, and retired from
Utility Services. Bob was a
very kind, thoughtful, loving
and prayerful man, who will be
greatly missed.

mond Bullock, 65, passed away
on Sunday, October 2, 2016.
Mr. Bullock was born in Ath
ens, the son to the late Clarence

was a mem
ber of the
Arcade Fire
Department
for over
30 years,
where he
served as
fire chief for part of that time.
Mr. Bullock was the rescue
chief of the Jefferson Rescue
Squad for many years and was
instrumental in the designing
of several emergency vehicles
used by Jackson County Fire
and Rescue squads. He was also
retired from Georgia Power,
where he worked as a mechanic.
Mr. Bullock was preceded in
death by his brother, Donald
Bullock.

A native of Oconee County,
Mr. Powell was the son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Howard H.
Powell. He was preceded in
death by a brother, Howard H.
Powell, Jr. He was a six-year
veteran of the United States
Army Reserves. He was a 910-
911 Medical Specialist, SP-5.
He was the owner of Go Dawgs
Package Store for eight years.
He retired from the University
of Georgia, where he was a
supervisor in Parking Services.
He was a part-time security offi
cer at Athens Regional Medical
Center for three years and a life
member of AMVETS Post 10.
He was of the Baptist denomi
nation and a member of Sandy
Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daugh

grandsons, Preston David Mott
