GEORGIA, for furnishing all
materials, labor, tools, equip
ment, and any other miscella
neous items necessary for the
construction of the Downtown
Auburn Gateway in the City of
Auburn, Georgia.
Bids will be received at the
Auburn City Hall, 1369 4th Ave
nue, Auburn, GA 30011-3058,
until 11:00 AM on Wednesday,
November 9, 2016. Any bid
received after said time and
date will not be considered by
OWNER. Bids will be publicly
opened and read aloud at this
time and location. All bids will
be evaluated by OWNER, with
an anticipated date of award of
December 1,2016. Bids will be
on a lump sum basis. No clas
sification of materials or work
will be made except in the case
of changes to the documents.
A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held
at 11:00 AM on Wednesday,
October 19, 2016, at Auburn
City Hall to discuss the project
elements. Prospective Bidders
are strongly encouraged to
attend this meeting.
The Project consists of, but
is not limited to, the following
major elements:
This project will consist of a
gateway plaza and pedestrian
improvements on city-owned
property and right-of-way
bounded by Third Avenue and
Mt. Moriah Road. The pedes
trian improvements will be
along and across Mt. Moriah
Road from this site. The proj
ect includes the extension of
a sidewalk along Mt. Moriah
Road, a new crosswalk from
the sidewalk across Mt. Mori
ah Road to the plaza site, a
3,600 square feet plaza, and
roadway intersection improve
ments at Mt. Moriah Road and
Third Avenue. The plaza site
will be landscaped with small
street trees, shrubs, ground-
cover, and sod to enhance
the existing trees that are to
remain on site.
Time of completion for all
work associated with this proj
ect shall be ONE HUNDRED
FIFTY (150) consecutive cal
endar days from the date of
a written “Notice to Proceed”
from OWNER.
The required DBE goal on
this project is 15%.

OWNER requires a bid
bond** or a certified cashier’s
check in the amount of five
percent (5%) of the total bid to
be enclosed with the bid at the

The successful bidder will be

the amount of one-hundred
