The Volley Doggs, coached by David Rows, have become a consistent winner in recent seasons and will now enter the state tournament as No. 1 seed. The state competition begins Thursday at home for WBHS. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. Photo by Steve Brown High School Volleyball: Bethlehem Christian Eddie Wallace of Winder has done it again. Wallace won the Barrow News-Journal Football Contest for the second week in a row, claiming victory on the tie-breaker. Wallace missed three games last week but predicted 44 points would be scored in the Winder-Barrow High School vs. Lanier High School game, That tie-breaker prediction put him clos er than contestants Tim Rose, Bill House, Elaine Moore, Bill Cartmill and Charles Perry, all of Winder. Contestants missing four games last week were Dale Kennedy of Bethlehem, Robin Fisher of Dacula, Dale McDaniel of Mon roe, Billy McDaniel of Lawrenceville, Ken Moore of Winder, Vince Sparacello of Wind er and C. Larry Manders of Winder. Those missing five games were Larry McDaniel of Monroe, Tim Husk of Winder, Susan White of Winder, Michael McDan iel of Monroe, Brandon Shedd of Auburn, Tony Bennett of Winder, William Bennett of Winder, David McDaniel Sr. of Lawrencev ille, Mike Murphy of Winder and Frank McElveen of Winder. This week’s contest is on page 4B. Dead line for entries is Friday at 5 p.m. The Bar- row News-Journal office is located at 77 E. May Street in Winder.
