Blood Drive -12-6 p.m. on

The blood drive will be

shifts.

a Parents Morning Out
program on Wednesdays,
from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30
p.m.
Parents Morning Out
is a weekly program that
provides childcare for
children six months old
through pre-school age.
The cost is $10 per child
(sibling discount). Par
ticipants will pay by the
month.
The program is held in
Room 131 in the Pasley
Family Life Center at the

Christmas Parade set Dec. 10
The 68th Winder Christmas Parade will
be held on Saturday. Dec. 10. beginning
at 4 p.m.
The parade will take place along North
Broad Street, going through downtown
beginning at Ingles, traveling south to East
Athens Street towards Jug Tavern Park.
The road closures will be as follows:
•North Broad Street from Lake Drive
to May Street, and Athens Street East to
MLK Drive.
The road closures will begin at the
parade’s commencement.
•East Candler Street between North
Broad Street to Park Avenue, and North
Jackson Street between Candler Street
and Midland Avenue will also be closed
between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.
on Dec. 10, for parade festivities which
include a holiday concert immediately fol
lowing the parade, vendors, kids activities
and the holiday ice skating rink.

taking donations through Dec. 12
It’s time for the Wind
er Health Care (WHC)
Christmas Store again this
year.
Every year the residents
look forward to shopping
at WHC for free, for their
loved ones and themselves.
Winder Health Care is
asking for new or like new
items/donations for both
men and women.
Examples of donations
are: room decorations,
clothing, shampoo, body
wash, lotion, shaving
cream, gift sets of an kind,
baseball/stocking caps,
socks/gripper socks, jew
elry, perfumes/cologne.
etc. The ideas are endless.
The deadline to receive the
donated items is Dec. 12.
Volunteers are needed on
this day to help the resi
dents shop.
