PAGE 8A BARROW NEWS-JOURNAL WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2016 Barrow County Sheriff’s Office Incidents Aggressive driving reported in Winder The Barrow County Sheriffs Office reports the following inci dents: •aggressive driving on High way 211 NE, Winder, where a woman reported as she was turn ing left out of The Market the driver of a black car came up behind her in a manner described as aggressive. She said the driver of the black car later passed her vehicle and then “started brake checking her.” The complainant said she turned into a neighborhood and the driver of the black car fol lowed her and was yelling foul language at her. •driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, improper lane change/failure to maintain lane, striking a fixed object, no proof of insurance, failure to report an accident with injury/death, hit and run: duty of the driver to stop at or return to the scene of an accident and seat belt vio lations on Briscoe Mill Road, Bethlehem. A report was filed in reference to the driver of a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 truck hitting nine mailboxes. •serious injury by vehicle, DUI - alcohol, improper lane change/ failure to maintain lane and driv ing on the wrong side of the road on Carl-Cedar Hill Road at Bo Parker Drive. Winder, where a two-vehicle head-on crash was reported between the driver of a 1994 Acura Integra and the driv er of a 2004 Infiniti G35. •theft by shoplifting at Walmart, Atlanta Highway NW, Winder, where a female report edly changed prices on some merchandise, went to self-check out and paid for items she had changed the prices on. •criminal trespass at a Rid- geside Drive. Bethlehem, res idence, where a prowler was reported in the area. A woman reported seeing a male jump her neighbor's fence and go into the woods behind her house. She said she located a flashlight in the fenced-in back yard. •DUI - alcohol and improper lane change/failure to maintain lane on Highway 211 NW, Wind er. where a motor vehicle acci dent was reported. A 2009 Nissan Altima was found, overturned in a pasture along the highway, and a female was located lying in the field. •hit and run; duty of the driver to stop at or return to the scene of an accident and driving on the wrong side of the road on High way 21 NW at Freeman Johnson Road, Hoschton, where a two-ve hicle accident was reported. A witness to the accident stat ed the driver of a 2015 Toyota Tacoma truck, pulling a trailer that contained a golf cart, struck the driver of a 2016 Honda Civic. The witness said the truck accelerated, in an attempt to leave, and pushed the Civic off the road. •criminal trespass at a Brandon Drive, Winder, residence. A man, contracted by a bank to cut the grass at this location, said he arrived at the residence and found a note on both the front and back doors that read, “This home is occupied, do not enter.” The complainant said the back door had been forcibly opened and the locking mechanism and door handle had been removed. •theft by taking at a Dogwood Trail, Winder, residence, where a man reported the theft of seven wall-mounted “Dream Catchers” and one Richard Petty die-cast model car. •theft by shoplifting at Target, Loganville Highway. Bethlehem, where a woman, and a child, had reportedly shoplifted $136 in merchandise. •simple battery - Family Vio lence Act (FVA) at a Pleasant Hill Church Road NE, Wind er, residence, where a domestic dispute was reported between a woman and her husband. •theft by shoplifting at Target, Loganville Highway, Bethlehem, where a man attempted to leave the store without paying for two stick vacuums and a Dyson vac uum. •criminal trespass at Subway, Atlanta Highway NW, Winder, where a man reported someone had broken the rear door security light. •financial transaction card fraud and identity theft fraud when using/possessing identi fying information concerning a person at a Gladiola Drive, Auburn, residence, where a woman reported “a few transac tions” on her bank account that she did not recognize. •identity theft fraud when using/possessing identifying information concerning a per son and theft by deception at Walmart, Winder, where a trio of men made a purchase total ing $138 using a female’s credit card number and then attempted to purchase a laptop using four different credit card numbers that were all declined. •theft by taking at a Dee Ken nedy Road, Auburn, residence, where a woman reported mail had been stolen from her mail box. •driving while driver’s license is suspended or revoked and fail ure to obey a stop sign or yield after stopping on Bethlehem Church Road at McElhannon Road SE, Bethlehem, where a traffic stop was conducted on the driver of a 2005 Chevrolet Impala. •entering an automobile or other motor vehicle with the intent to commit a theft or other felony and theft by taking at a Cantebury Lane, Winder, resi dence, where a man reported someone had entered his friend’s 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 truck while it was parked at this loca tion and took some loose change and a Smith and Wesson .380 caliber Bodyguard handgun. •theft by taking at a Winston Manor Court, Winder, residence, where a man reported the theft of video games and a tablet com puter. •domestic dispute at a Rem ington Circle, Winder, residence, between a man and his girlfriend. •entering an automobile or other motor vehicle with the intent to commit a theft or other felony and theft by taking at a Bill Rutledge Road, Winder, res idence, where a female reported finding an unknown male look ing inside her friend’s 2015 Nis san Altima parked at her house. The friend stated her wallet, driver’s license, identification card, three medical insurance cards, two credit cards, a book of personal checks and $1 in cur rency were missing from inside the vehicle. •theft by deception at iPawn. East May Street. Winder, where a stolen necklace was located. •false imprisonment and sim ple assault on East Midland Ave nue at Cliff Day Road, Winder, where a female reported a male riding in her car had reached over and placed the car in park so he could get out in the middle of the roadway. She said the male got in her face and shoved her on her right side, got out, slammed the door and started walking down Atlan ta Highway. •entering an automobile or other motor vehicle with the intent to commit a theft or other felony at Apalachee High School, Haymon Morris Road, Winder, where a male reported the theft of his wallet from inside his vehicle while it was parked in the student parking lot at the school. •simple assault at a Hidden Acres Road, Winder, residence, where a dispute was reported. The male complainant stated he went to the residence to ask if his fiance was living at this location and a male answered the door and began pushing him towards the edge of the deck.
