team that went 36-23, won
the Area 8-AAAAAA title and
advanced to the Sweet 16 for
the second-straight year.

was a first-team all area
selection for 8-AAAAAA

this season. She holds the
BCA record for the most kills
in a single set as well as the

a season. She also holds the
record for career digs. Brisby,
who plays club ball, is being
recruited by several colleges.

Comment: Brown, voted
by her teammates as captain,
led BCA in attacks and ball
placement accuracy. She was
also second in digs and blocks.
Brown holds the BCA record for
most digs in a single set and
kills and digs in a match, as well
as most attacks in a season.

31 digs (20-match season)
Comment: Wilson was a
two-year standout for BCA
and led the team in blocks this
season. She ranked second in
aces, kills, and attacks. Wilson
holds the BCA record for most
blocks in a single set, match and
season. She also holds career
records in kills and blocks.

Comment: Boland was
Jackson County's sec
ond-best hitter and best
utility player, stepping up
with her biggest games
when it mattered most.
Boland enjoyed one of her
biggest matches in the first
round of the state playoffs,
helping lead Jackson County
to its first state tournament
win since 2001. Boland
was a second-team all-ar
ea selection for 8-AAA.
Abby Wood
Jefferson
Sr., outside hitter
336 kills, 522 digs;
set records for digs in a
match (28), season digs
(522), career kills (1,059),
career digs (1,276) and
career starts (440)
Comment: Wood is one
of the best players to come
through the Jefferson
program as she holds five
school records. Wood,
who served as captain of
a team that reached the
Elite Eight, was a four-year
all-area selection (Areas
8-AA, 8-AAA and 8-AAAA)
and an all-state pick for two
years. She also won the
Wendy's Heisman Award.
Bre Arbanas,

195 kills, 46 blocks;
set school records for
blocks in a match (six)
and career blocks (143)
Comment: Arbanas was
an all-area selection for
8-AAAA and served as one
of Jefferson's team captains.
Grace Haney

ished with 931 career assists
Comment: Haney
served as one of the
Dragons' team captains.
Sam Watson,
Madison Co.
Sr., setter
415 assists, 132 digs,
61 kills, 57 aces
Comment: Watson was a
four-year starter and team
captain for Madison County.
Her coach praised her for her
communication on and off
the court and knowledge of
the game. Although Watson
was the team's primary
setter, she scored crucial
points attacking and serving.
Vannah Strozier,
Madison Co.,
Jr., outside
right side hitter
159 kills, 179 digs, 46 aces
Comment: Strozier moved
from libero to serving as
a multi-purpose player for
Madison County as a junior.
Strozier finished the sea
sons as the Bed Baiders'
leading scorer hitting from
the outside and right side
positions. She was also the
team's defensive leader.

Comment: Lampkin
was second on Winder-
Barrow's team in kills and
