lene E. Albert, 76, formerly
of Peekskill, N.Y., died on
Wednesday, February 1, 2017.
She was the wife of the late
Jerome J. Albert. Her previous
husband, Paul E. McCluskey,
of Science Hill, Ky. also pre
ceded her in death.
Survivors include her loving
daughter, Sherrie L. Kelly and
son-in-law, Richard A. Kelly,
Braselton; grandsons, Rich
ard A. Kelly II, and Patrick
D. Kelly of Pensacola, Fla.;
great-granddaughter, Jordyn

Mrs. Albert was a gradu
ate of Alexander Hamilton
High School, Elmsford, N.Y.
Marlene worked as a cus
tomer care representative for
AT&T, Lucent Technologies,
and Avaya, Inc. for 27 years.
She relocated to Florida from
New York in June 1993, and
then to Georgia in October
1997. Mrs. Albert retired in
December, 2005. She enjoyed
shopping, traveling, baking,
dining out, needlework, and
arts and crafts. She volun
teered at the local library in
Braselton, along with being a
Bingo caller for several years
at a local Hoschton Church.
She also volunteered at Lunch
and Learn in Braselton and
was a member of the Brasel
ton Women’s Club.
She was a wife, mother,
daughter, and friend to many,
and will be sorely missed.
Marlene was a communicant
at Prince of Peace Catholic
Church in Flowery Branch,
Ga.
A funeral Mass was held
Tuesday, February 7, at Prince
of Peace Catholic Church in
Flowery Branch, with Father
Eric Hill officiating. Inter
ment was at Assumption
Cemetery in Peekskill, N.Y.

Cowart, 84, was born on
March 14, 1932, in Nantaha-
la, N.C., the son of Claude
and Hettie Robina (Farmer)
Cowart.
He departed this life on
Monday, January 30, 2017, in
Salem, Ark.
Ralph married Elinor Rilla
Wood on January 14, 1954
and to this union three sons
were born. He was a lov
ing husband, father, grandfa
ther and friend to many. He
spent his working years as
president/owner of Cowart
Construction Company for 30
years. They built telephone
lines all over the Southeastern
United States. He served his
country in the United States
Army during the Korean Con
flict and was a member of
Salem First Baptist Church in
Salem, Arkansas. He was pre
ceded in death by his brother,
George Dockey Cowart; and
sister, Ira Lee Nunnally.
Survivors include his wife,
Rilla Cowart, Salem, Ark.;

She was a loving wife and
mother, homemaker, teacher,
bookstore owner, manager
of Walden Bookstore, avid
bridge player and golfer
where she was a member of
the Athens Country Club.
Mrs. Ginn grew up in the
Chicago area. Later she
received a BS in Psychology
from Beloit College, Wiscon
sin, where she was a member
of Pi Beta Phi sorority.

She was a member of
the Winder First Methodist
Church. She graduated from
Winder-Barrow High school
in 1966 and was the former
owner operator of Head Hunt
ers Beauty Shop. Patricia was
preceded in death by her par
ents, Thomas Calvin and Lola
Baskin Wall; her husband of
45 years, Ludger Lanthier Jr.;
and her two sons, Chris and
Trip Lanthier.
Survivors include a daugh-
ter-in-law, Julie Lanthier,
Statham; three grandchildren,
Christine, Samantha and Les
lie Lanthier; a brother, Tommy
Wall, Winder; and two broth-
ers-in-law, Mitch Lanthier

A native of Athens, he was
the son of the late Carl and
Fairy Lee Ross Cochran. He
was preceded in death by sib
lings, Sylvia Gunnells, Goldie
Cochran, Betty Jean Strick
land, and Paul Cochran.
Jerry was a 1962 graduate
of Athens High School and
served with the United States
Army/Army Reserves from
1963-1969. He was a former
deacon at Sandy Creek Baptist
Church and member of Union
Baptist Church. Jerry was a
big supporter of his family
and was an active volunteer
with AYO sports and band
boosters. He was retired from
Oliver Rubber Company.
Survivors include his wife
of 52 years, Nancy Tucker
Cochran; children, Jerry
Nathaniel Cochran Jr., Comer,
Amy Cochran Payne (Tobye),
Danielsville, and Joshua
Daniel Cochran Sr. (Jamie
