Barrow County Sheriff’s Office Incidents
Leafblower, chainsaw stolen from truck
The Barrow County
Sheriff's Office recently
responded to the following
incidents:
•burglary, entering an
automobile or other motor
vehicle with the intent to
commit a theft or other fel
ony, theft by taking and
criminal trespass at an
Azalea Drive, Winder, res
idence. A man reported a
backpack leaf blower and
chainsaw missing from
his garage and a circular
saw missing from his work
truck. He valued the miss
ing items at $1,000.
•larceny at a Chandler
Road, Auburn, residence.
A man said he had been
scammed. He said he hired
an IT company about six
months ago and he recent
ly bought a new computer
and attempted to cancel the
services with the IT com
pany. He said he was sup
posed to receive a refund of
$600, however, he received
$6,000 and then the next
day he received $10,000.
He said he was then con
tacted from different
unavailable and restricted
numbers with instructions
to buy multiple iTunes
cards and send money to
China and Ecuador through
money orders and money
gram.
•burglary at a Sweet
Apple Lane, Winder, resi
dence. A woman reported
someone had been inside
her residence. She said she
found her safe underneath
a bed in one of her spare
rooms and that was not
where she kept the safe.
She said the safe had been
damaged. She said she
believed her son. whom she
has told numerous times
he is not welcome in her
home, was the one that had
entered the residence.

criminal damage to prop
erty at a West Wisemen
Lane, Bethlehem, location,
where a T-Mobile employ
ee reported several coax
lines had been damaged
and cut off the tower and
were missing. He said the
wire fence at the back of
the tower location had been
ripped open.
•trespass at a Celestial
Run, Winder, residence,
where a man reported his
neighbor had encroached
on his property and erected
three iron cattle gates, iron
posts and barbed-wire fenc
ing. The complainant said
he told his neighbor about
the issue and his neighbor
replied, “he needed to keep
his horses contained” and
he walked away from the
complainant.
•theft of services at a Fort
Street, Winder, residence,
where a City of Winder
water service representa
tive advised residents at
this location were stealing
water services. The com
plainant said the meter had
been tampered with twice
and water was fraudulently
restored to the residence.
•harassing phone calls
and contempt of Superi
or Court at a Cajon Lane.
Bethlehem, residence. A
man reported his ex-wife
had violated the terms
of his custody rights and
was also harassing him
via telephone both by text
and calls. He provided text
messages from his ex-wife
in regards to the custody
violations.
•harassing phone calls
at a Kendall Park Drive.
Winder, residence, where a
man reported his brother's
girlfriend continued con
tacting him and harassing
him after being told by law
enforcement to stop.
•animal bite at an Arch
Tanner Road, Bethlehem
residence. A man, who was
at Northeast Georgia Medi
cal Center Barrow for treat
ment, reported he had been
bitten by his neighbor’s and
cousin’s pit bull.
•willful obstruction of
law enforcement officers at
a Ravenwood Court, Beth
lehem, residence, where
a house fire was reported.
A man attempting to put
the fire out with a water
hose was arrested after he
refused to get away from
the residence after being
asked by law enforcement
officers numerous times to
do so. He also attempted to
keep officers from placing
him in handcuffs.

•theft by shoplifting at
Publix. Loganville High
way, Bethlehem, where a
female took $40 worth of
fruit and meat and exited
the store without paying.
•terroristic threats and
acts at a Keri Lane. Wind
er, residence. A man said
he was driving down the
street when he got behind
his female neighbor in her
vehicle and she was travel
ing very slowly. He said he
didn't tailgate her. He said
when he reached his resi
dence his neighbor exited
her vehicle and began yell
ing at him accusing him of
tailgating her. He said the
two began to argue and she
made the comment, “I’m
going to shoot you.”
•theft by shoplifting at
Target. Loganville High
way, Bethlehem, where a
female was observed plac
ing clothing items in a duf
fle bag and exiting the store
without paying. The total
value of the duffle bag and
clothing is $263.
•burglary and theft by
taking at a Russell Cem
etery Road, Winder, resi
dence. A man reported his
outbuilding had been bur
glarized and his weed eater
and blower - both valued at
$200 - were missing.
•theft by shoplifting at
Walmart, Atlanta Highway
NW, Winder, where a male
entered the store, went to
the electronics department,
placed several items in a
shopping cart and exited
the store without paying for
the items. The total value of
the items taken was $1,672.
•criminal trespass at a
Ruswood Court, Winder,
residence, where a female
complainant reported hear
ing “dinging sounds” as
if something was striking
metal and heard a sound
hitting her window down
stairs. She said she looked
out her window and saw
her neighbor walking back
to his residence with a
black gun, then pointing the
weapons towards her dog
outside. She said imme
diately after her neighbor
pointed the weapon towards
her dog she heard the dog
“yelp.” The complainant
stated a “No Trespassing”
sign on her property had
holes in it as if it had been
shot and the windshield
on her brother's truck was
cracked. Her brother stat
ed the windshield was not
cracked the day before this
incident took place.
•domestic dispute at a
Pinebrooke Road, Auburn,
residence, where a woman
reported her daughter, who
had moved out of her res
idence the prior evening,
came back to get the rest of
her belongings and struck
the complainant in the head
as she was leaving the res
idence.
•criminal trespass at a
Ravenwood Court, Beth
lehem, residence, where a
man stated he arrived at
his residence and found
the side light window to
the right of the front door
had been broken. The com
plainant stated the house
had burned two days prior
and he had boarded up all
of the windows and doors
except the ones on the front
of the house. He said the
front windows and door
were not damaged by the
fire and were fully func
tional. The complainant
advised nothing was miss
ing from the residence,
•identity theft fraud when
using/possessing identify
ing information concerning
a person at a Wentworth
Cove Court. Winder, resi
dence, where a man report
ed receiving statements and
credit cards from multiple
creditors he did not open
accounts with.
•criminal damage to
property at a Tom Mill
er Road, Bethlehem, resi
dence, where a suspicious
vehicle was reported. The
complainant said he arrived
at his father’s property and
observed the front gate was
damaged. He said when
he entered the property he
observed an abandoned
2011 Toyota Camry parked
on the property. The Camry
tag was run through GCIC
and returned stolen out of
Lawrenceville two days
prior to being found. The
vehicle had damage to the
