Couple reports house burglarized, locks changed
The Barrow County Sher
iffs Office recently respond
ed to the following incidents:
•burglary, theft by tak
ing and criminal damage
to property at a Mulberry
Circle, Winder, residence. A
couple reported their resi
dence had been entered,
front door locks had been
replaced with locks that they
didn't have keys to, a ceiling
fan had been pulled down
and items were missing. The
female complainant said a
well pump, water tank, two
ceiling fans, wall-mounted
electric heater, small break
er box, squirrel-cage fan on
furnace, 40-gallon hot water
heater, ceiling fan fixture and
two front door locks were
missing, all valued at $1,540.
•driving under the influ
ence (DUI) of alcohol on
Austin Road at Sand Pump
Road, Winder, where a traf
fic stop was conducted on
the driver of a 2016 Mer
cedes-Benz. The female
driver of the Mercedes had
reportedly been involved in
a domestic dispute at another
location, was intoxicated and
left driving the Mercedes.
•criminal trespass at
a Rainey Brooke Drive,
Winder, residence. A man
reported a man standing on
his front porch. The com
plainant said the man stated
he was looking for a man
that owed him money. The
complainant stated he told
the man to leave as the man
he was looking for was not
there and the man left the
property.
•theft by taking at Har-
digree’s Shell on Atlanta
Highway SE, Winder, where
a woman reported someone
had stolen her wallet that
contained $200, her driver's
license and Social Security
card.
•burglary and theft by tak
ing at a Loganville High
way, Bethlehem, residence,
A couple reported two guns
missing from their residence
- one Sig Sauer P238 and
one Glock 22, both valued
at $1,100.
•criminal trespass at
a Union Grove Church
Road, Auburn, residence.
A woman reported return
ing to her home to find the
side door and the door from
the garage into the interior
of her home open. She said
she couldn't tell if anything
was missing, but the door
frame was broken where it
had either been pried open or
kicked open.
•theft of lost or mislaid
property at Belk, Loganville
Highway, Bethlehem. A
North Carolina woman said
she could not find her purse
after a shopping trip to Belk
and the last time she had the
purse was in the parking lot
when she and her daughter
were loading the car.
•theft by shoplifting at
Target. Loganville Highway.
Bethlehem. The complainant
said he observed a female
take several video games
and an accessory from the
electronics section, place the
items in a handbag and leave
the store without paying.
•lost/found property at a
Kennedy-Sells Road NW.
Auburn, residence, where
suspicious activity was
reported. A man stated he
returned to his residence and
noticed a black Drone on his
property. He said the Drone
was flipped upside-down
next to his carport.
•criminal trespass at a
Briscoe Mill Road, Bethle
hem, residence, A woman
reported damage to the
“skirting” on a mobile
home she owned. She said
four-wheelers were reported
to be operating in the area
and she surmised that one of
them had done the damage.
•domestic dispute at an
Eastmont Road, Winder, res
idence. A man reported his
fiancee and their tenant were
having a verbal dispute.
•criminal trespass at a
Melinda Drive, Winder, res
idence. A man stated two
men he didn't know knocked
on his door and the older
man asked to use his truck
to run to the store. The com
plainant said he told the man
he could not use his truck.
He said the two men walked
off only to return a short time
later to knock on the door
a second time. He said this
time the older man asked
where the dirt bike was. The
complainant stated he told
him he didn’t have a dirt bike
and there wasn’t a dirt bike
on his property. The com
plainant said the man stated
his son had left a dirt bike at
this location the night before.
•criminal trespass and
theft by taking at Speedy
Tires, Atlanta Highway NW,
Auburn. A man reported he
arrived at work and found a
2000 Infiniti DO he had for
sale on his lot had the rims
and tires stolen from it.
•concealing the identity
of a vehicle at a Bethlehem
Church Road, Bethlehem,
residence, where a suspi
cious vehicle was reported.
A 1994 Ford Ranger truck
was located parked in the
driveway with a male inside.
The male told officers he
had been “invited over.” The
license plate on the truck
returned to a 2000 Chevrolet
Malibu.
•outstanding arrest warrant
and speeding on Carl-Beth-
lehem Road, Auburn, where
a traffic stop was conducted
on the driver of a 1996 Chev
rolet S-10 truck for speeding.
•harassing phone calls at
a Yargo Lane, Winder, res
idence. A woman reported
she was receiving numerous
phone calls from a man she
had told on numerous occa
sions not to call her.
•identity theft fraud when
using/possessing identifying
information concerning a
person at a Bo Parker Drive.
Winder, residence. A man
stated someone used his
PayPal account on eBay to
make a $1,813 purchase and
his credit card was linked to
his PayPal account. He said
he had also recently found
that someone had placed an
unauthorized online request
to have his mail held at the
post office.
•damage to property on
Patrick Mill Road SW at
Tom Miller Road, Winder.
A woman stated she was
driving a 2005 Nissan Sen-
tra and was stopped at the
stop sign on Tom Miller
Road at Patrick Mill Road
when the driver of a 2003
Ford Crown Victoria turned
onto Tom Miller Road and
struck her vehicle. She said
she exchanged information
with the other driver, but law
enforcement was not called.
She said she has attempted
to contact the other driver,
however he is refusing to
cooperate.
•identity theft fraud when
using/possessing identify
ing information concern
ing a person at a Yorkwood
Road, Winder, residence. A
woman stated he applied for
a loan and received a notice
in the mail in reference to
an unpaid $403 gas bill near
Tucker. She said she didn't
have any utilities outside of
Barrow County.
•theft by taking and crim
inal trespass at a Thomas
Drive, Hoschton, residence.
A woman reported the theft
of a 1993 Chevrolet C/K
1500 truck from the yard of
her residence. She said the
truck was not currently in
working order.
•criminal trespass at a
Gifton Thomas Road, Beth
lehem. residence. A man
reported a female that he had
a dispute with earlier had
destroyed a pair of books
and a leather jacket in his
house.
•burglary and theft by tak
ing at a Chicken Lyle Road,
Winder, residence. A man
reported someone came on
his property, entered his
storage building without his
authority, and stole two weed
eaters, a push lawn mower
and a machete, all valued at
$365.
•theft by taking at Jenkin’s
Mower Shop, Monroe High
way, Bethlehem, where the
owner reported an antique
sign had been stolen.
•lost/found property at a
Ross Drive, Winder, resi
dence, where a man reported
his Georgia driver’s license
had been lost or stolen.
•burglary and theft by tak
ing at a Winding River Lane.
Winder, residence. A woman
reported someone had come
onto her property, entered a
shed beside the house with
out her permission and stole
several items, including a
bicycle, drills, saws-all, skill
saw, miscellaneous tools,
box fan, heater and com
pact table saw, all valued at
$1,180.
•battery - Family Violence
Act (FVA) and cruelty to
children at a Patrick Mill
Road SW, Winder, resi
dence, where a domestic dis
pute was reported between a
woman and her daughter.
•theft by shoplifting at
Walmart, Atlanta Highway
NW, Winder. The com
plainant stated he observed
a male select a BB gun from
a shelf and stuff it in a back
pack that was also selected
from a shelf in the store and
attempted to exit the store
with the items.
•burglary and criminal
damage to property at AT&T.
Loganville Highway, Bethle
hem, where the front door
was found broken open. Sur
veillance video showed three
males entered the store.
•injuring, tearing down
or destruction of mailbox
es; injuring, defacing or
destroying mail at a Strat
ford Parkway, Winder, resi
dence, where a man reported
someone had damaged his
mailbox.
•burglary, theft by taking
and criminal trespass at a
City Pond Road. Winder,
residence. A woman stated
someone entered her resi
dence and stole a TV and
a push lawn mower, and a
children's plastic swimming
pool from the backyard. She
said her clothes were tossed
outside the residence and
damaged.
•battery - FVA. violation
of a Family Violence Order
and outstanding arrest war
rant at a Ridgeside Drive,
Bethlehem, residence, where
a domestic dispute was
reported between a man and
his mother.
•theft by taking and crim
inal trespass at an Arnold
Road SE. Statham, res
idence, where a man was
reportedly stealing wood and
tin.
•fleeing/attempting to
elude law enforcement
officers, reckless driving,
passing on a hill or curve
and unlawful use of driv
er’s license on Bill Rutledge
Road at Patrick Mill Road
SW. Winder, where the driv
er of a 1998 Mercedes-Benz
was stopped for driving on
the wrong side of the road.
•fleeing or attempting to
elude a law enforcement
officer for a felony offense,
hit and ran; duty of the driv
er to stop at or return to the
scene of an accident, driving
while driver's license is sus
pended or revoked, speeding,
improper lane change/failure
to maintain lane, failure to
obey a stop sign or yield
after stopping, driving on the
wrong side of the road and
reckless driving on Highway
211 NE. Winder, where the
driver of a 2017 Kia Forte
was stopped for traveling 92
miles per hour in a 55-mph
speed zone.
•burglary and theft by
taking at a Stoney Creek
Drive, Winder, residence.
A woman stated while her
daughter was home alone
a man driving a Chevrolet
Silverado truck pulled into
their driveway, got out of the
truck and entered their open
garage. She said in just a few
minutes he left the garage,
got into the truck and drove
away. She said her daugh
ter went into the garage and
realized several items had
been taken out of a cabinet
in the garage. The missing
items included digital volt
meter, socket wrench set and
combo pack that contained
an impact driver, sander,
miter saw. battery charger,
two batteries, sawzall, flash
light and jam saw.
•domestic disturbance at a
Rockwell Church Road NE.
Winder, residence. A woman
said her husband was in the
back yard and “she was wor
ried about him.”
•domestic dispute at a
Jefferson Highway, Winder,
residence, between a woman
and man.
•theft by taking at a Wages
Road. Auburn, residence.
A woman reported a leaf
blower, comforter and pair
of women’s shoes, all valued
at $550 missing from her
residence.
•burglary and criminal
trespass at a Wall Road,
Statham. residence. The
complainant reported a
female was on the premises
and a rear basement window
on the residence had been
broken out. The complainant
reported no one was sup
posed to be on the property.
•possession of metham-
phetamine and possession
and use of drug-related
objects at The Market, Ga.
211 NE, Winder, where a
suspicious person was locat
ed at the closed business.
•reckless driving and
speeding on University Park
way at Patrick Mill Road
SW, Winder, where a traf
fic stop was conducted on
the driver of a 2010 BMW
who was traveling 114 miles
per hour in a 65-mph speed
zone.
•receipt, possession or
transfer of a firearm by a
convicted felon or felony
first offender at a North Beu
lah Street, Winder, residence.
•DUI - alcohol and
improper lane change/failure
to maintain lane on Univer
sity Parkway at Smith Cem
etery Road, Winder, where a
traffic stop was conducted on
the driver of a 2014 Chevro

Winder, residence. A man
reported some of his belong
ings were missing from a
residence that he had shared
with his girlfriend. He val
ued the missing items at
$2,885, including tools and
a meat cleaver.
•domestic dispute at a
Hickeria Way, Winder, res
idence, between a woman
and her husband.
•harassment at a Lois
Kinney Road, Statham,
residence, where a woman
reported receiving harass
ing text messages from a
female she believed to be
the ex-girlfriend of a guy she
had just started dating.
•hit and run; duty of the
driver to stop at or return
to the scene of an accident,
failure to yield while turning
left, open container viola
tion, expired or no driver’s
license, no proof of insur
ance and willful obstruction
of law enforcement officers
at Carl BP, Atlanta High
way NW at Carl-Cedar Hill
Road, Auburn, where a two-
car accident with injuries
was reported.

a traffic stop was conducted
on the driver of a 2015 Chev
rolet Colorado track.
