Gainesville man faces
pornography, drug
charges in Barrow Co.
On May 4, the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office charged
Adan Ayon Rebollar, 32, 317 High St., Gainesville, with
computer pornography, electronically furnishing obscene
material to minors (4 counts), possession and use of
drug-related objects (2 counts), possession of metham-
phetamine and criminal attempt to commit a felony.
ATHENS MAN CHARGED
WITH HOME INVASION
The BCSO, on May 4, arrested Edward Wendell
Keeley, 26, 44 Cone Dr., Athens, on charges of cruelty
to children, possession of a firearm or knife during the
commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies,
robbery, false imprisonment, buiglary, home invasion
with a firearm and armed robbery.

Several businesses broken into
at South Broad Street office complex
The Winder Police
Department reports the
following recent incidents:
•burglary and theft by
taking a South Broad
Street office complex,
where several business
es were broken into. The
owner of Georgia Roofing
Specialists said the side
entrance door to his office
was kicked in and his lap
top and tablet were miss
ing from his desk and tools
were also missing. How
ever, the tools were found
in the enclosed porch area
at the complex. The owner
of Edward Jones Invest
ments stated it appeared
someone tried to kick his
office door in, but nothing
was missing from inside
the office. Another office
had extensive damage to
the door and door frame.
A dead-bolt lock on the
door of The Thomas and
Associates Law Firm was
bent due to the force used
to try to enter the door.
The owner of Allegiance
Counseling said her door
was still locked, nothing
was missing and no dam
age was done.

residence, where a man
reported someone broke
into his 2004 Dodge Ram
1500 truck and took his
Colt Commander 1911 .45
caliber automatic handgun

Street, where a suspicious
person was reported. The
complainant said the man
had been inside the store
for over an hour.

reported someone entered

a customer reported a man
was “messing around with
the ATM machine."
•suspicious package
at a Nonsuch Way resi
dence, where a package
was delivered, but it was
empty. The complainant
said she ordered an item
from eBay and the pack
aged was delivered, but it
only contained Styrofoam.
•public drunkenness at
a Wood Avenue residence,
where a dispute was report
ed. The male complainant
said a female grew irritated
with him and ‘ began to
throw food at him’’ inside
of his residence.

Street, where a traffic stop
was initiated on the driver
of a 2013 Infiniti in refer
ence to a terroristic threats
call at a Loganville High
way, Bethlehem, location.

where a traffic stop was
conducted on the driver of
a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500
truck due to an inoperative
third brake light.
•driving with a sus
pended or revoked license
and giving a false name,
address or birthdate to a
law enforcement officer on
East Candler St., where a
traffic stop was initiated on
the driver of a 2009 Hyun
dai Sonata with a driver's
side bake light out.
•burglary at a Shields
Street residence, where
a man reported coming
home to find his back door
ajar, the area of the dead
bolt was split, the deadbolt
no longer worked and was
broken into several pieces.
He said his freezer door
was also open, but nothing
was missing. He stated the
crawl-space door was also
open.
•terroristic threats at
McDonald’s, North Broad
Street, where a woman
reported her co-worker had
received a telephone call
on the business phone and
the male on the line stated
he was “going to shoot the
place up and make sure no
one survives.” The com
plainant said the co-worker
hung the phone up and
stated she was scared.
She said the phone rang
again and she answered it.
She described the caller
as sounding like an older
male stating "do not hang
up on me, you f*#king
wench.”
•financial transaction
card fraud at a Third
Avenue residence, where
a man reported being
scammed out of $1,700 in
ITunes cards.
•probation violation at
a Wood Avenue residence,
where a 28-year-old male
was located hiding inside
a 2006 Honda Accord
parked at this location.
•theft by taking at an
East Midland Avenue loca
tion, where a man reported
the theft of his .40 caliber
pistol with a loaded mag
azine.
•driving under the influ
ence (DUI) of alcohol,
reckless driving, too fast
for conditions, consump
tion/open container of an
alcoholic beverage in the
passenger area of a vehi
cle and willful obstruction
of law enforcement offi
cers on Woodlawn Avenue,
where a traffic stop was
conducted on the driver of
a 1998 Dodge Durango.
•burglary at a Georgia
Avenue residence, where
a woman reported while
she was incarcerated her
home had been burglarized
and numerous items were
missing from inside the
residence.
•pedestrian to walk on
the shoulder away from the
edge of the roadway when
a sidewalk is not avail
able and possession and
use of drug-related objects
on West Kimball Street,
where a suspicious person
was reported.

South Broad Street, where
a man reported someone
had entered his 2004 Ford
Explorer, while he was
kayaking, and stole his
wallet and its contents.

Chapel Drive residence,
where a physical dispute
was reported. The female
complainant said she was
assaulted by a man in the
front yard of the residence
when she tried to keep him
from completing a drug
transaction.
•aggravated assault, cru
elty to children, possession
of methamphetamine and
crossing guard lines of a
correctional facility with
weapons, intoxicants or
drugs at a Baskins Circle
residence, where a domes
tic dispute was reported
involving several family
members.

reported she had recently
attempted to obtain a loan
and "fell victim to a fraud.”

Dianne Drive residence,
where a man reported
extensive damage on the
inside of an unoccupied
residence.

and public drunkenness at
Dollar Tree, North Broad
Street, where a female had
taken numerous items from
the store without paying.

idence, where a woman
reported the rear driver's
side window on her 2012
Toyota Rav4 had been bro
ken out.

Shell convenience store on
North Broad Street, where
a man reported the theft
of his cell phone and wal
let. He said he rode to
the store with a man and
woman and when he got
out to go inside the store
the two drove off and left
him, taking his wallet and
cell phone with them.

man reported his brother
was “threatening to kill his

woman reported she had

Highway. She said she
believed they were doing
something illegal.

Pair of shoplifting incidents at Walmart reported to sheriff s office
The following incidents
were recently reported to
the Barrow County Sher
iff’s Office:
•theft by shoplifting at
Walmart, Winder, where a
man had reportedly taken a
50-inch TV valued at $298
from an employee-only
area of the store, put the
TV in a shopping cart and
passed all points of sale
without paying. The com
plainant said the male had
been observed, on video
surveillance, on an earli
er date taking a TV from
the same area, placing it
outside a door behind the
business, and then walking
out the main entrance. She
said the video showed the
man get into a Chevrolet
Iinpala and drive around
the store, but he did not
stop and get the TV.
•theft by shoplifting at
Walmart, Atlanta High
way NW, Winder, where
a woman had taken over
$83 in merchandise with
out paying.
•reckless conduct,

someone had broken the
back glass out of his 2005
