Six arrested for disorderly conduct at Winder gas station
The following recent inci
dents were among those that
the Winder Police Department
responded to.
•Six males, ranging from
ages 17-27, were arrested for
disorderly conduct and fight
ing at and around the area of
Circle K on West May Street
on Dec. 15. According to
an incident report, around
9:20 p.m. police were called
to the gas station, where an
employee reported that a se
dan came into the parking lot,
slamming on the brakes, and
two trucks that seemed to be
following the sedan also en
tered the parking lot. The oc
cupants in both vehicles were
yelling each other and threat
ening to start a fight. An occu
pant in one of the trucks then
through a bottle at the sedan,
hitting it on the side door. Af
ter the responding officers’ ar
rival, the sedan pulled up and
the two male occupants told
him that three trucks had been
following him all evening and
were threatening to beat up the
driver over what he believed
was a dispute from a party
on a previous date and they
claimed to be part of a truck
gang. Other officers located
the trucks at Aldi and detained
five males determined to be
the group involved in the in
cident. One was a 16-year-old
juvenile and was released to a
parent. The other four and the
two males at the gas station
were all arrested after police
interviews at both locations.
The males arrested were:
Aaron Cordell Mossier, 27,
of Suwanee; Dylan Michael
Thompson, 22, of Auburn;
Blake Nathaniel Lee, 17, of
Winder; Thomas D. Ramsey,
19, of Winder; Roy Clyde
Droddy, 19, of Winder; and
Michael Cole Barnes, 18, of
Winder.
•A 19-year-old woman from
Dacula was arrested for un
derage consumption of alco
hol and a 22-year-old man
from Jefferson was cited for
an open-container violation
following a report of a group
of people being unruly in
the parking lot of Circle K
on West May Street around
11p.m. Dec. 14. The wom
an was in a vehicle at one of
the gas pumps and was deter
mined to be with the group.
She blew a 0.119 when test
ed. The man cited had an open
beer on the hood of his truck.
•A woman at a Duke Street
residence reported Dec. 14
that she suspected two friends
of hers had stolen her pre
scription pills, but she was
unable to provide their last
names and address.
•A woman reported being
threatened by another per
son at Walgreens a little after
5 p.m. Dec. 13 after she had
a discussion with an employ
ee about whether she had al
ready paid for a photo order
through her phone. The em
ployee told her she was rude
and the woman was advised to
file a complaint with the com
pany’s corporate offices. The
woman told police that while
she was sitting in her car in
the store parking lot attempt
ing to contact the corporate
office, another woman exited
the store, got in the vehicle
next to hers, a burgundy-col
ored Mustang, pulled behind
her vehicle and wrote her li
cense plate number down.
When the woman confronted
her about it, the other wom
an said, “Are you the one that
was rude inside Walgreens?
I’m coming for you.” The sus
pect was described as a white
female in her mid-50s, with
short, wavy, sandy-brown
hair, about 5-foot-7 or 5-foot-
8 with medium build, wearing
glasses.
•A Winder man was arrest
ed on an outstanding arrest
warrant out of Lawrenceville
after he was stopped for fail
ing to maintain his lane in the
area of Sims and Miles Pat
rick roads around 3:20 a.m.
Dec. 13.
•A Loganville man and
Lawrenceville woman were
both arrested for possession
of methamphetamine, other
drugs and drug-related ob
jects after a report of a pos
sible domestic dispute inside
a car in the Circle K parking
lot on West May Street around
9 p.m. Dec. 12.
•A woman at a Williamson
Street residence reported that
someone had entered her ve
hicle and stolen a stereo some
time between 8 p.m. Dec. 11
and 2 a.m. Dec. 12.
•A Winder man was arrest
ed on an outstanding proba
tion violation warrant out of
Barrow County on Dec. 12
after he called police to his
residence to tell them he “just
wanted people to stop coming
by his house trying to get him
in trouble.”
•A woman at an Embassy
Walk Drive residence report
ed that her purse had been
stolen from her vehicle some
time between 10 p.m. Dec.
10 and 10 a.m. Dec. 11. The
purse had her driver’s license,
Social Security card, two
bank cards, birth certificate
and $200 in U.S. currency
in it. Around the same time,
a woman at another Embas
sy Walk residence reported
someone had stolen her hus
band’s wallet (containing his
driver’s license and debit and
credit cards) and a drone de
vice from his vehicle.
•A man at a Griffith Street
residence reported that some
one had taken a child’s purple
puffer jacket and two boxes
of Christmas lights from his
vehicle sometime between
10 p.m. Dec. 10 and 7 a.m.
Dec. 11.
•An Atlanta man was arrest
ed Dec. 11 for driving without
a valid license following a
traffic stop in the Golden Cor
ral parking lot on East May
Street for not having a license
plate. He was also cited for
an open-container violation,
no insurance and operating an
unregistered vehicle.
•A Social Circle man was
arrested for driving under the
influence of alcohol around
6:30 p.m. Dec. 10 when he
was stopped in the area of
West Athens and Betts streets
for driving slowly to the point
where he was impeding the
flow of traffic.
Auburn police make multiple drug-related, other arrests following traffic stops
The following recent inci
dents were among those that
the Auburn Police Department
responded to.
•A Watkinsville man was ar
rested Dec. 7 on an outstand
ing warrant out of Barrow
County after a car he was a
passenger in was stopped on
Atlanta Highway for not hav
ing a right-side mirror.
•A Bethlehem woman was
arrested Dec. 8 for possession
of methamphetamine after
police were called to a Carter
Road residence because she
was refusing to leave. Police
found her sitting in her vehi
cle in the driveway, and the
complainant said they had
asked her several times not to
come back to the residence.
The meth was found during a
search of the vehicle, which
was initiated due to a “strong
odor” of marijuana coming
from the vehicle.
•A Forsyth man and Dacula
woman were arrested on drug
charges Dec. 9 after the man
was stopped for speeding near
the intersection of Union Grove
Church and Mount Moriah
roads. A K-9 officer conduct
ing an air sniff had a positive
alert for drugs, and marijuana,
drug-related objects and THC
candy were located inside the
vehicle, and a prescription bot
tle with morphine was found
in the woman’s purse and be
longed to her deceased father.
•A woman at a Cronic Town
Road residence reported that
a possible red car ran off the
roadway and struck her mail
box on Dec. 11.
•An Auburn man was arrest
ed on multiple outstanding
warrants and for driving with
out a valid license Dec. 11 af
ter he was stopped on Atlanta
Highway for having blue lights
on his bumper.
•A Lawrenceville man was
arrested Dec. 11 for an out
standing Gwinnett County
warrant and driving with a
revoked license after he was
stopped on Johns Bluff for fail
ure to maintain his lane.
•A Dacula man and a Law
renceville man were cited Dec.
14 for operating a body shop
business on Auburn Park Drive
while being delinquent on his
taxes.
•A manager at a local restau
rant reported that she had sent
a group message about work
schedules to employees and, in
error, included the phone num
ber of a former employee that
now belongs to someone else.
The person who now has the
number replied back “threat
ening to shoot everyone” if he
or she continued to be included
on the texts.
•A Winder man was arrest
ed for driving under the influ
ence of alcohol (less safe) Dec.
17 following a traffic stop on
Kilcrease Road at Brown’s
Bridge.
•A Buford woman was ar
rested for driving under the
influence of drugs (less safe)
Dec. 20 after she was stopped
on Mount Moriah Road for re
peated failure to maintain her
lane. The woman told police
she took multiple pain medica
tions and blood pressure med
ication.
South Carolina woman charged after pursuit in Braselton
A South Carolina
woman was recently ar
rested after a pursuit in
Braselton.
Angelina Essence Day,
20, 17 Jacobs Mill Ct.,
Elgin, S.C., was charged
with speeding; fleeing or
attempting to elude; in
terference with govern
ment property; reckless
driving; and following
too closely.
Officers with the
Braselton Police De
partment attempted to
stop Day for driving
90-miles-per-hour in a
70-mph zone on 1-85.
Day slowed down when
officers activated the pa
trol car lights and siren,
but she didn’t stop.
Day traveled for sev
eral miles and anoth
er officer joined in the
pursuit and attempted a
rolling roadblock. She
struck one of the patrol
cars, which ended the
pursuit.
Day denied speeding
and told officers she
didn’t know she was
supposed to pull over.
OTHER ARRESTS
Other recent arrests
made by the BPD were:
•Lamont L. Matthews,
45, 2140 Point View Dr.,
East Point — speeding
and driving with a sus
pended/revoked license.
Matthews was stopped
for traveling 97-miles-

zone. Officers learned
his license was suspend
ed and arrested him. A
small bag of marijuana
was found on him at the
jail and he was cited for
the substance.
•Denise Chapman,
32, 555 Northridge Rd.,
Sandy Springs — pos
session of a schedule I or
II controlled substance;
speeding; reckless driv
ing; driving with a sus
pended/revoked license;
and driving without a
license. Chapman was
stopped for driving 103-
mph in a 70-mph zone.
During a search of a bag
in the vehicle, officers
found 38 pills, which
Chapman said belonged
to someone else.
OTHER INCIDENTS
Other recent incidents
reported to the BPD
were:
•theft on Pinecrest
Lane where a man re
ported missing tools.
•theft on Hwy. 53
where a man said his
phone was missing.
