6th Street Water Main
for the
City of Auburn
Sealed bids will be re
ceived by the City of Auburn
(OWNER), for furnishing all
materials, labor, tools, equip
ment, and any other miscella
neous items necessary for the
construction of the 6th Street
Water Main project in Barrow
County, Georgia.
Bids will be received at Au
burn City Hall P.O. Box 1059,
1369 4th Ave., Auburn, GA
30011 until 2:00 p.m. on No
vember 11, 2021. Any bid re
ceived after said time and date
of bid opening will not be con
sidered by OWNER. Bids will
be publicly opened and read
aloud at this time and loca
tion. All bids will be evaluated
by OWNER and the project will
be awarded, if it is awarded,
within fourteen (14) days of
the bid opening. If a bidder is
not selected within fourteen
(14) days of the bid opening,
any bidder that is determined
by the OWNER to be unlikely
of being selected for contract
award shall be released from
their bid.
The Project consists of,
but is not limited to, the fol
lowing major elements:
Installation of approxi
mately 3,900 LF of 12-inch
DIP waterline, 150 LF of
open cut 24-inch steel cas
ing with 12-inch DIP pipe, 3
fire hydrants, 9 gate valves,
approximately 12 service re
connections and related ap
purtenances.
Time of completion for all
work associated with this proj
ect shall be one hundred and
eighty (180) consecutive cal
endar days from the date of
a written “Notice to Proceed”
