W. Leon “Scram”Bramlett
W. Leon “Scram” Bramlett was bom October 26, 1928,
at home on Dee Kennedy Road in Auburn to the late W. B.
and Arlean Walker Bramlett.
He loved to tell the stories
of the grief he caused on the
family farm, thereby earn
ing the nickname “Scram”.
He met his sweetheart Mary
McDonald in high school
marrying her shortly after,
started building a family
and making a home where-
ever they lived. He was
preceded by his wife, Mary
McDonald Bramlett; son,
Jeff Bramlett; and siblings,
Dewel B. Bramlett, Lois
Nell Sims, Runette Cronic and Rayford Bramlett.
He spent his life building anything from skyscrapers
to wooden crosses, a Jack of all trades and skills. Just as
he built his life on the foundation of Christ. He loved the
Lord above all else, and followed obediently by loving
his neighbor more than himself. In knowing Scram, you
were excessively aggravated, but knew you were loved.
He loved all things in nature, so much so that it spilled in
to the lives of his family leaving a legacy of memories for
generations.
Scram was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and
was the founder and scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop #512
and was a member of Auburn Masonic Lodge # 230 F. &
A. M. for 53 years.
He left behind his faithful golf cart co-pilot, his dog,
aptly named “Seram’s Buddy”; daughters and sons-in-
law, Diane and Jimmy Stalnaker, Colbert, and Susan and
M. J. Everett, Auburn; daughter-in-law, Cecilia Bramlett,
Holly Springs; brother, Raymond Bramlett, Auburn; eight
grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of other
relatives.
He once said he “loved all children, but didn’t know
why” and asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made
in his memory to the Masonic Children’s Home, R O. Box
4183, Macon, Georgia 31208.
The “Legend of Scram” lives on.

David B. Corson
PORT ORANGE, FLORIDA AND JEFFERSON —
David B. Corson, 65, Port Orange, Florida and Jeffer
son, passed away following a years-long battle with the
side effects of cancer treatment.
David was bom in Roch
ester, New Hampshire on
October 13, 1955 to Janet
and Earl Corson. Besides
Spaulding High School,
he attended Proctor Acad
emy in New Hampshire.
In various locations, David
became a tuna fisherman,
a clammer and an HVAC
technician. He worked
in construction in Wall
Township, N.J. He helped
keep the municipal water
supply working in Daytona Beach, Florida. His final job
was with AmeriGas Propane in Winder.
Complications of the cancer treatment led him to retire
several years ago. For the last three years he has lived in
Port Orange, Florida caring for his aging mother.
David was an avid motorcyclist, enjoying racing in
his younger years. He loved working on them and rid
ing with his buddies and occasionally with his brother.
When he left this earth he was the proud owner of about
40 motorcycles, though most of them weren’t working
(yet). His 2005 Honda Gold wing is likely the only one
in the world with a roof, cobbled together from a sail
boat’s Bimini top. There’s a lot of sun in Georgia.
David trained under Chief Master Jose Castro of Ath
ens and achieved the rank of second-degree black belt
in Tae Kwon Do. In that capacity he trained many other
students and loved passing on the art to others while he
refined his own.
He will be sorely missed by his family and many
friends and students in Georgia (especially the folks in
Rooster’s and the Kroger’s Starbucks), in Massachu
setts, his native New Hampshire and in Florida. David
was a member of American Legion Riders, Post 163 and
the Christian Motorcyclist’s Association.
He was pre-deceased by his father, Earl Corson; and
niece, Lynn Corson.
He leaves behind his mother Janet C. Lessard, Port
Orange, Fla.; brother, Bruce Corson (Ann); niece, Karen
Poccia (Tom), all of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; and several
very special aunts, uncles and cousins. He was pre-de
ceased by his father Earl Corson and niece Lynn Corson.
A private memorial ceremony will be held.
The Juke ‘n’ Jive Creamery in Braselton is planning a
“Ride for David” by his many biking friends. Call Debi
at 470-655-9698 for information.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the
American Cancer Society.
