Gerald H. Collins
AUBURN — Gerald H. Collins, 84, Auburn, passed
away Monday, October 11,2021.
He was bom Septem
ber 22, 1937 in Blairsville
to Dewey K. and Ouva
Brackett Collins who pre
ceded him in death. He
was also preceded by a
brother, Harry Collins.
Mr. Collins was a mem
ber of Calvary Missionary
Baptist Church of Carl,
and was a United States
Army Veteran. He owned
and operated Collins Auto
Salvage of Auburn.
Surviving are wife, Gail Blackstock Collins, Auburn;
sons, Robin (Kim) Collins, Colbert, Tony (Charmain)
Collins, Statham, and Gary (Sandi Satterfield) Collins,
Auburn; adopted son, Rick Townsend, Auburn; grand
children, Alayna Gravitt, Kenny Collins, Anna De-
Muro, Brooke Collins and Drew Collins; great-grand
children, Gently Gravitt and Kaylee Collins; sister,
Joann Deavers, Blairsville; brother, Ronnie Collins,
Auburn; and sister-in-law, Rosemary Collins, Alabama.
Family to receive friends: Wednesday, October 13,
2021 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral service: Thursday, October 14,2021 at 2 p.m.
from the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with the Revs.

Eloise Cooper Crowder
CORNELIA — Eloise Cooper Crowder, 100, Cor
nelia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 5,
2021.
Mrs. Crowder was born on November 13, 1920 in
Tignall to the late Lauren Wesley and Lulu Bobo Coo
per. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by her loving husband of 72 year's, Loy Crowder;
grandchildren, Anna Eloise Hall, Ryan Perry Crowder
and Nathan Winslow Crowder. Mrs. Crowder was an
active member of the Homer United Methodist Church.
She was also a member of PEO. She was a graduate of
Berry College where she met the love of her life, Loy.
Eloise was a teacher and a homemaker. She loved to
cook, bake and play bridge; she was the most gracious
and loving hostess. She persevered against oral cancer
at 94 and valiantly won that battle. She lived all over
the world but spent the last 20 year's back in Georgia
where her heart has always been. She was loved by so
many because she loved so big. She was a positive force
in every life that she touched. By every measure that
mattered, she was a wonderful steward of the life that
God gave her.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Ju-
die and Fred Wendt, Alto, and Suzi and Randy Hall,
Augusta; son and daughter-in-law, Van and Patricia
Crowder, Blacksburg, Va.; sister, Guinelle Garrard,
Hickory, N.C.; brother, Jack Cooper, Warner Robins;
grandchildren, Melissa Tymchuk, Frank Wendt, Mary
Catherine Murray, Betsy Hall and Julietta Crowder;
great-grandchildren, Mary Eloise Tymchuk, Augustin
Tymchuk, Miller Wendt, Mary Clara Wendt, Charis
Crowder, Micaiah Crowder and William Murray.
A private funeral service will be held at the Homer-
United Methodist Church.
Graveside service: Saturday, October 23, 2021 at
2 p.m. at the Banks County Memorial Gardens with the
Rev. David Collins officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Homer United
Methodist Church Family Life Center Hall following
the graveside service.

Carolyn M. Crumley
HOMER — Carolyn M. Crumley, 87, Homer, went
to her heavenly home on Friday, October 15,2021.
Mrs. Crumley was born on April 28, 1934 in Banks
County to the late Grady and Clemmie Chambers Wel-
born. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by her son, Donald Cnrmley. Carolyn was known
to her grandchildren as “Ma-Ma”, and they were the
light of her life. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Bap
tist Church in Banks County. Carolyn was a loving
wife, mother and grandmother. Carolyn was a faithful
and dedicated wife, tending to her loving husband, Jolly
for 73 year's.
Survivors include her loving husband of 73 year's,
Jolly Cnrmley, Homer; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue
and Randy Rylee, Maysville, and Phyllis and John
McClure, Homer; son and daughter-in-law, Kenny
and Joyce Crumley, Gillsville; nine grandchildren; 15
great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren;
sister, Cat Jones, Lula; and brother, Dwayne Welbom,
Gillsville.
Graveside service: Monday, October 18, 2021 at
4 p.m. at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with
the Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating.

from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South
Chapel.

Carolyn Jones Fuller
Carolyn Jones Fuller, 80, passed away on Thursday,
October 14, 2021.
She attended the Winder Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s
Witness. She was retired from the Internal Revenue
Service. Carolyn loved flowers and gardening.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Samu
el Paul Jones and Willie Mae Ammons Jones.
She is survived by her sons, Andrew Fuller, Athens,
and Carl Fuller, Bethlehem; her daughter, Sheila Mor
gan, Jacksonville, Fla.; and her grandson, Richard King,
Jacksonville, Fla.
No services have been scheduled at this time.

William "Bo” Franklin Geiger III
STATHAM — William “Bo” Franklin Geiger III, 56,
Statham, passed peacefully into Heaven’s Gates on Sat
urday, October 16, 2021 after a short battle with stage
4 liver cancer.
Bo was born February
15, 1965 in Decatur to
the late William Geiger
Jr. and Dorothy Geiger. In
addition to his father, he is
preceded by his sister, An
nette Geiger.
Bo was a member of
Bear- Creek First Baptist
Church where he served
faithfully as an elder for
over 20 year's. He loved
working on old classic
car's, playing guitar- and
spending time with his family. His new favorite title
was “Papa G”. To know Bo was to love him. He was a
strong man of faith who led his family closer to Jesus
daily. He will be greatly missed.
Sur vivors include his mother, Dorothy Geiger; daugh
ters, Elise (Michael) Adams, Lauren Geiger and Lizzy
Geiger; grandson, William Adams; numerous family
members including seven siblings; cousins; nieces;
nephews; etc. Lastly, Bo leaves behind his wife of 32
year's, Kim, whom he loved dearly.
Memorial service: Sunday, October 24,2021 at 2 p.m.
in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy.

James Lamar Gordon
COMMERCE — James Lamar- Gordon, 80, Com
merce, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021.
Born on January 8,1941
in Commerce, Mr. Gor
don was the son of the late
Willie Lamar- and Jewell
Whitfield Gordon. He
was a mechanic and was
a member- of Beaver-dam
Baptist Church.
Survivors include his
wife, Patsy Craig Gordon,
of the home; daughters,
Jewell (Scott) Jones, Amy
Paulette (Miguel) Donates
and Lisa (Cameron) Woodall; and four grandchildren,
Ethan Woodall, Emily Woodall, Mattie Jones and
James Jones.
Funeral service: Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at
2 p.m. at Beaver-dam Baptist Church with the Revs.
Gordon Crawford, Dugar Strickland, and Chuck Cook
officiating. The body will lie in state beginning at 1:30
pm at the church. Burial will follow in Beaverdam Bap
tist Church Cemetery.

Ryan Allen Martin
WINDER — Ryan Allen Martin, 38, Winder, passed
away Friday, October 15, 2021.
He was a native of Albany. Ryan was a tow truck driv
er for Lance Wrecker Service. He deeply loved his fam
ily and enjoyed boating, paddle boar-ding and jet skiing
with them on Lake Lanier. Ryan loved the outdoors and
riding his motorcycle with friends at Blood Mountain,
riding the Dragon Trail. He loved baseball and was an
accomplished pitcher with amazing speed and accura
cy.

Rusty Garnett McLeroy
ATHENS — Rusty Garnett McLeroy, 59, Athens,
passed peacefully into Heaven’s Gates on Friday, Octo
ber 8,2021 after a long battle of stage 4 liver cancer and
complications of COVID.
Mr. McLeroy was born
in Athens, a son of the late
James L McLeroy and the
late Barbara Sue McLeroy.
In addition to his parents,
Mr. McLeroy is preceded
in death by his wife, Terri
Pickens McLeroy; and a
sister, Tammy Wilkes-Mc-
Leroy.
Mr. McLeroy loved fish
ing and hunting and was a
man of many talents. He
was an avid Georgia Bull
dog and New Orleans Saints fan. He loved antiques and
collectibles and his sweet dog, Blu. Mr. Mcleroy had
many nicknames like Sweetpea, Littlebit, Big Mac and
Pops.
Survivors include son, Christopher McLeroy; daugh
ters, Jessica McLeroy, Mary Ellen McLeroy and Eliz
abeth Stanley; nine loving grandchildren; his brothers,
Greg McLeroy and Chuck McLeroy; numerous surviv
ing family members such as cousins, nieces, nephews,
etc. Lastly Rusty leaves behind his companion, Vicky,
whom he loved dearly.

Benny Ellis Richardson
CARNESVILLE — Benny Ellis Richardson, 69,
Carnesville, entered into rest Friday, October 15, 2021.
Mr. Richardson was born in Braselton, a son of the
late Edward and Willie Nell Phillips Richardson, was
the former owner of Richardson’s Amoco, and retired
from Liberty National Life Insurance Company. Mr.
Richardson was well known in the area as a karaoke
specialist.
In addition to his mother and father, Mr. Richardson
is preceded by his wife, Sissy Fields Richardson; and a
sister, Linda Moore.
Survivors include two sons, Chad Richardson (Teli-
na), Carnesville, and Trevis Richardson (Stacey), Bra
selton; grandchildren, Kori Richardson (Emily), Kris
Richardson, Grant Richardson, Grade Richardson,
Cale Compton and Caylin Porter-field; two great-grand
children, Jaxon Richardson and Evie Richardson;
brother, Billy Richardson (Gail), Jefferson; sister, Shir
ley Maloch (Douglas), Carnesville; and brother-in-law,
Wesley Moore, Jefferson.
Memorial service: Saturday, October 23, 2021 at
1 p.m. from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with
Jerry Duke officiating with burial to follow in Evans
