merce, died Saturday, September 30, 2023, at her
residence.

was a member of Berea
Baptist Church and was
a homemaker.

(Michael), Kyle London (Taylor), Will Dowdy,
Leah Dowdy, Breannah McClendon, Spencer Mc
Clendon, Hannah Poe (Wyatt) and Hollie Stamey;
and great-grandchildren, Bryson Lee Beard, Hayes
Beard, Kreed London and Krew London.
Funeral service: Monday, October 2, 2023, at
3 p.m. in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home
with the Rev. Verlin Reece officiating. Interment
will follow in Erastus Christian Church Cemetery.
Family to receive friends: Monday, October 2,
2023, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that
donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association
(alz.org).

Kimberly Brundige
COMMERCE — Kimberly Brundige, 66,
Commerce, passed away peacefully at home on
Wednesday, September 27, 2023, following an ex
tended illness.
Bom on September
30, 1956, in Hunting-
ton, West Virginia,
Mrs. Brundige was the
daughter of the late
Norvil and Genevieve
Deem. She attended
Madsion Street Baptist
Church and worked as a
pastry chef.
Survivors include her
husband, William Ed
ward Brundige; daugh
ter, Holly Epps (Josh);
(Bridget); sister, Linda
Mitchell, Craig, Carey, Jim and Brian Richards;
and three beloved grandchildren.
Funeral service: Friday, October 6, 2023, at
2 p.m. in the Ivie Funeral Home Chapel.

Sylvia Riley Dedels
HOSCHTON — Sylvia Riley Dedels, 83,
Hoschton, passed away Wednesday, September
27,2023.

Hoschton in 1999 to
their home. It housed
decades worth of cele
brations, traditions and
memories. It was also
meticulously and beau
tifully decorated by Syl
via.
Lovingly known as
“UhHee” by her family,
UhHee’s blue eyes and
smile were contagious to anyone that came in con
tact with her. She knew how to have fun, no matter
what the occasion was and would find humor in
any situation.
UhHee enjoyed trying new restaurants, no mat
ter the distance. She loved her jalapenos spicy, her
bloody mary’s strong and her jokes salty.
Out of all the things she loved in life, she loved
her family the most. She would always say, “What’s
better than being here with all of y’all?”
Sylvia is survived by her husband, best friend,
and love of her life of 62 years, Richard Dedels;
sons, Allen Dedels and Brenda, and Stephen
Dedels; daughter, Leigh Chauvin and Layton; and
grandchildren, Kelsey, Alex, Olivia, Katie and
Maddie, all whom she loved very much.
A private family memorial service will be held at
a later date.

Michael David and Abby Lynn Evans
DANIELSVILLE — Michael David and Abby
Lynn Evans, Danielsville, passed away together on
Saturday, September 23,2023, at the young age of
44.

9, 1979, in McCandless
Township, Pennsylva
nia.
Abby was bom to
Steve J. Knezovich
and Sharon L. Shelly
on May 18, 1979, in
Wheeling, West Virgin
ia.
Mike was well-known
and loved in the car dealership business. He ex
celled at helping dealerships reach their utmost
potential and earned many prestigious awards
throughout his career.
Abby was a friend to everyone she met and al
ways willing to go above and beyond. She enjoyed
crafting, carpentry, DIY projects and gardening.
Mike and Abby would have celebrated their 24th
wedding anniversary on October 2, 2023. They
were high school sweethearts and rarely spent
time apart. They were devoted parents and enjoyed
spending time together as a family with their chil
dren and many dogs, hiking the Blue Ridge Moun
tains and relaxing down by the Tuckasegee River.
Mike and Abby are survived by their three chil
dren, Emily, Ian and Olivia Evans.
Mike is survived by his parents, David and Sue
Evans; brother, Jay Evans (Wendy); and one neph
ew; grandmother, Shirley Shisler; aunt, Bev Pur
vis; uncle Jay (Judy); and several cousins.
Mike was preceded in death by his maternal
grandfather, Harry Shisler; and paternal grandpar
ents, Gloria and David Evans.
Abby is survived by her mother, Sharon, and
step-father, Thomas Shelly; sisters, Amy Beck
(Kevin) and Alexis Jans (Lewis Barkley); broth
er, Andrew Knezovich; step-brother, Thomas R.
Shelly (Jaime); step-sister, Alyson Shelly (Kane);
uncle, Mike (Sandy); eight nieces and nephews;
several cousins; step-mother, Rita Knezovich; and
step-sister, Jennifer Hansen.
She will be joining her father, Steve Knezovich,
in heaven. Abby also was preceded in death by
maternal grandparents, King and Viola Sayre;
and paternal grandparents, Steve F. and Magdalen
Knezovich.
Funeral service: Monday, October 2, 2023, at
2 p.m. at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, Dan
ielsville.

Gordon Albert Harrison
BREMEN — Gordon Albert Harrison, 76, Bre
men, passed away on Thursday, September 28,
2023.
He was the son of the late Joe Bames Harrison
and Ruby Estelle Hendrix Harrison and he was
raised in a Methodist home. He lived in Georgia,
Texas, Mexico, and ended up back in Georgia in
the mid 2000s.
He enjoyed learning about United States history
and researching family ancestry. Gordon loved art
and music and taught himself to play the piano. He
had a gentle spirit and he was a laid back, indepen
dent person. He was an avid reader.
In the 1980s he built his own home in Bethle
hem, from recovered building materials. Gordon’s
career was in automotive manufacturing and he
was employed by Honda. He earned a Bachelor of
Science in Education from Georgia Southern Uni
versity.
Gordon is survived by his nephews, Steven Hen
drix Harrison and Andrew Ritchie Harrison; niece,
Elisa Ann Harrison; and his brother, Joe Bames
Harrison Jr.

Jetteree “Jackie” Hull
SPENCERVILLE, INDIANA — Jetteree “Jack
ie” Hull, 96, died Friday, September 29, 2023, at
her home in Spencerville, Indiana.
She was bom on
March 4, 1927, in Jack-
son to the late Charlie
and Bertha (Purcell)
Wheeler.
She married Clarence
Hull on January 26,
1946, in Jefferson, and
he preceded her in death
on May 15, 2022.
Surviving are sons,
Jack Hull, Avilla, In
diana, and Clifford
Hull, Butler, Indiana; eight grandchildren; and 16
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen
Hull; son, George Hull; brothers, Clifford, Felton,
Garland and Lloyd “Buster” Wheeler; sisters, Vera
Wheeler, Charliena Wheeler, Hazel Clark, Gwyno-
la Smitherman and Golden Hile; and daughters-in-
law, Heidemarie Hull and Darcy Hull.
Jackie worked for 35 years as a telephone oper
ator. She riveted wings and inspected engines for
the B29 bombers. She was a seamstress at Wolf &
Dessauer in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She and her hus
band owned and operated Hull Precision Machin
ing in Spencerville, Indiana, for over 40 years.
Funeral service: Friday, October 6, 2023, at
11 a.m. at the Spencerville Community Club, 5629
CR 68, Spencerville, Indiana.

Jane Graham McCown
JEFFERSON — Jane Graham McCown, 77, Jef
ferson, passed away on Thursday, September 28,
2023.

ana, a daughter to the
late Rueben H. and Pa
tricia Butcher Graham,
and grew up in Win
ston-Salem, North Car
olina.
She attended and re
ceived her degrees from
Mars Hill College and
Appalachian State Uni
versity. Mrs. McCown
was a retired teacher with the Jackson County
School System and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald McCown,
Jefferson; daughter, Jennifer McCown, Commerce;
son, Graham McCown, Jefferson; grandson, Alex
McCown, Commerce; and sister, Susan Gancher,
Portland, Oregon, also survives.
In accordance with Mrs. McCown’s wishes, her
remains were cremated and a private memorial ser
vice will be held by her family on a later date.

Eatonton, passed away Sunday, September 24,
