Obituaries
William ‘‘Bill” Berry Anderson Jr.
William “Bill” Berry Anderson Jr. was bom on January
12, 1947, in Atlanta. He passed away after an extended
illness on Friday, November 3, 2023.
Bill was preceded in
passing by his father, Wil
liam Berry Anderson Sr.
(1919-2011); and his moth
er, Mary Denson Anderson
(1921-2000).
Bill grew up in Smyrna,
and attended the University
of Georgia. He served the
Army Airborne and was
deployed to Vietnam be
tween 1965-1969 where he
received the Bronze Star.
He spent most of his
work career in Athens at Westinghouse and ABB. He fin
ished the remainder of his career in Kennesaw at Total
Systems as a programmer analyst.
Bill is survived by his wife of 28 years, Janice Allen;
his daughter, Sandi (Leon Quave), Biloxi, Mississippi;
two grandsons, Garrett Beard and Andrew Quave; and
two sisters, Barbara (Martin) Green, Hiram, and Sharon
Anderson, Fayetteville.
Bill was actively involved in the lives of Janice’s grand
children as well as his own. He loved them all.
Bill was an active member of the Athens Rifle Club for
as long as his health allowed. He served as a range officer
among other duties.
At Bill’s request, there will be no public visitation or
service.
Any memorials or donations may be made to Bethle
hem First United Methodist Church.

Donald Russell Austin
BETHLEHEM — Donald Russell Austin, 81, Bethle
hem, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023.
Donald was bom Oc
tober 12, 1942, to parents
R.R and Kathleen Austin.
He was a lifelong Georgia
resident and a member of
the American Legion for
over 40 years.
Donald was a focused,
strong willed man, who
was generous to a fault. He
loved old country music,
animals and the outdoors.
In his younger years he was
an avid hunter and fisher
man.
In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in pass
ing by brother, Robert Austin; and his sister-in-law, Sarah
Austin.
Donald is survived by his sister, Ona McGahee; neph
ews, Wayne (Sherryl) Austin and Keith (Elizabeth) Aus
tin; great-nephews, Caleb (Stoshia) Austin and Colton
(Grace Hedges) Austin; great-nieces, Desiree (Nelson)
Martinez and Bethany Austin; two great-great-nephews;
and three great-great-nieces.

Hallie Grace Minish Fitzpatrick
Hallie Grace Minish Fitzpatrick, 103, wife of the late
Ellis Harold Fitzpatrick, died on Thursday, October 26,
2023.
Bom in Greene County,
she was the daughter of the
late David Lee Minish and
Eva Leila O’Kelly Min
ish and was also preceded
in death by her sisters and
brothers.
Mrs. Fitzpatrick had
worked in the textile in
dustry, General Times and
alongside her husband on
the family farm. She was a
member of Erastus Chris
tian Church.
Survivors include her four children, Lee (Eleanor) Fitz
patrick, Bernice Malcolm, Barbara Hardigree and Louise
(Larry) Bond; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchil
dren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service: Saturday, October 28, 2023, at
2:30 p.m. at Lord and Stephens Danielsville Chapel with
the Revs. Billy Glosson, Larry Dyer and Vaughn How-
ington officiating. Interment will follow in the Ila Ceme
tery. Pallbearers will be Joe Goodman, Grant Goodman,
Kyle Fitzpatrick, Kirk Fitzpatrick, Wyatt Maddox and
Larry Bond.
Family to receive friends: Friday, October 27, 2023,
from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Carl Blake Graham
Carl Blake Graham, 93, died Friday, November 3, 2023.
A native and longtime resident of Madison County, he
was a son of the late Cos
by and Nellie Duffel Gra
ham. He was also preceded
in death by four siblings,
James Graham, Monnie Jo
Moody, Alma Bearden and
Avis Johnson.
Mr. Graham had many
occupations in his lifetime
including cowboy, truck
driver, construction worker,
miner, craftsman and entre
preneur. He was a veteran of
the United States Army with
most of his military career in
Alaska.
Survivors include his brother, Lincoln (Marta) Graham,
Greenville, South Carolina; nieces; nephews; cousins; and
friends.

Stan Douglas Haigler
COMMERCE — Stan Douglas Haigler, 73, Commerce,
died Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at his residence.
Mr. Haigler was bom in
Camden, South Carolina, to
the late George I. and Clara
Hursey Haigler. He was a
member of Union Baptist
Church, a Vietnam Veter
an of the United States Air
Force and retired service
manager at Wayne Neal Chevrolet.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Haigler was preceded in
death by his wife, Sybil Ingram Haigler; son, Mike Poole;
and daughter-in-law, Janet Poole.
Mr. Haigler is survived by his daughters, Deborah Owens-
by (Billy), Colbert, and Phyllis Sparks (Phillip), Commerce;
brothers, George Haigler (Elizabeth), Dalton, and Bill
Haigler, Chattanooga, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Debbie
Poole; brother-in-law, Fred Ingram (Martha); grandchil
dren, Jeremy Owensby (Kim), Ryan Owensby (Alison), Ja
son Sparks (Amber), Drew Sparks (Heather), Kasey Evans
(Greg) and Kelsey Poole (Kristen); 14 great-grandchildren;
five great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephew.
Funeral service: Friday, November 3, 2023, at 2 p.m. in
the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Drs. Billy
Owensby and Ray Richardson officiating. Interment will
follow in Grey Hill Cemetery.

Amy Friddell Keller
WINDER — Amy Friddell Keller, 83, Winder, passed
away peacefully on Saturday, November 4,2023, at her res
idence.
Mrs. Keller retired as an
educator with the Barrow
County School System. She
volunteered for the Wind
er-Barrow Hospital and the
Barrow County Historical
Society.
Her hobbies included
reading and doing crossword
puzzles. Mrs. Keller was a
member of the Winder First
United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Keller was preced
ed in death by her husband,
Ralph Turner Keller Jr.; and
her parents, Paul Julian Friddell Sr. and Kathryn Line Frid
dell.
Mrs. Keller is survived by her children, Laurie (Jimmy)
McLeroy, Peachtree Comers, Robert Keller (Rhonda Jean
Childers), Winder, and Stephen (Monica) Keller, Winder;
brother, Paul Julian (Abbie) Friddell Jr., Poplar Grove, Illi
nois; and six grandchildren, Mahlon Keller McLeroy, An
drew Chase Keller, Michael Paul Keller, Kathryn Nicole
Keller, Katlyn Elizabeth Keller and Morgan Kathryn Keller.
Funeral service: Wednesday, November 8,2023, at 2 p.m.
in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home. Burial will follow the
service at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Family to receive friends: Wednesday, November 8,2023,
from 12 until 2 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home.

Harold Joe Ledbetter
WINDER — Harold Joe Ledbetter, 89, Winder, passed
away Friday, October 20, 2023.
He was bom in Winder on April 11,1934. Joe was the last
of the seven Ledbetter brothers. Joe was preceded in death
by his first wife, Jimmie Lee; his second wife, Eunice; his
children, Joe and Susan; and his six brothers, Billy, Richard,
Benny Fred, Thomas, Arnold and Larry Dean.
He is survived by his granddaughter, Jessica.
Joe was a lifelong resident of Winder, residing in the
house he built on Ledbetter Rd., except for the four years
he served in the Navy, from 1951-1955. During his military
service, he served aboard a cruiser and destroyer escort in
the Atlantic Fleet.
In addition to working his small farm, he had a career
working at Rhor Industries in Marietta.
Joe was my uncle and the
last living link to my father,
Thomas Ledbetter. I visited
him often and enjoyed hear
ing the stories of their youth.
I will always remember
him as a kind, hard work
ing, proud Southern man.
He was fair and generous to
those in need.
As the brothers moved
away from Winder in life,
Joe remained in Winder
where he was very dedicat
ed to the care of his mother,
Freddye Ledbetter, as she aged.
He did not want a service and requested a private cre
mation followed by his ashes being scattered at sea in the
Florida Keys.
He was a good man and he will be missed by his family
and friends.

Roscoe Anthony Morrison
WINDER — Roscoe Anthony Morrison, 66, Winder,
passed away on Tuesday, October 31,2023, at his residence.
Mr. Morrison was a hard
working, outgoing and ad
venturous man. He was a
devoted family man that
loved his friends and family
dearly. His personality could
light up a room by having
everyone around him laugh
ing.
Mr. Morrison was preced
ed in death by his parents,
James Anthony Morrison
and Mary Ann Thompson
Morrison.
Mr. Morrison is survived
by his children, Christy Richbourg, Misty Durden, Jenni
fer Davis, Tony Flanigan and Steven Flanigan; siblings,
Charlotte Mullins, Sandy Morrison and Jesse Morrison;
grandchildren, Nicole Sessions, Destiny Glidewell, Johnny
Richbourg, Jordan Durden, Skylyr Davis, Madylyn Davis,
Kaylee Durden, Georgia Richbourg and Jaxon Richbourg;
a host of great-grandchildren; and extended family and
friends also survive.
A private celebration of life will be held.

Sarah M. Page
BOGART — Sarah M. Page, 89, Bogart, passed away on
Saturday, November 4, 2023.
Sarah was bom July 2,
1934, to parents James and
Sarah Morrow. She was a
lifelong resident of Georgia
and a member of Carl Bap
tist Church in Auburn.
Sarah was a loving wife,
mother, grandmother and
great-grandmother. She was
strong willed (sometimes
even stubborn), devoted to
her family and faith, and she
loved the Lord. She loved
spending time with her fam
ily and Jojo (Sarah’s chihua
hua). She loved spending time in her flower and vegetable
gardens (with Nosey, Diane’s childhood chihuahua). She
loved to quilt. She made her family several quilts, dresses,
shorts and shirts through the years.
In addition to her parents, Sarah is preceded in passing
by her husband of 50 years, Jimmy Page; son-in-law, John
“Johnny” Harrison; and siblings, Hugh Morrow, Jimmie
Chancey and Jane Morrow.
Sarah is survived by her daughter, Diane Harrison; grand
daughters, Lauren (Chris) Palumbo and Sarah (Zach) Hum-
mert; and great-grandson, Jacob Palumbo.
Funeral service: Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 2 p.m.

Robert Anthony Stradley
WINDER — Robert Anthony Stradley, 67, Winder, passed
away peacefully on Saturday, November 4,2023.
Mr. Stradley was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lynn
Stradley; parents, Harry Richard Stradley and Margie Cliett
Stradley; and brother, Ricky Wayne Stradley.
Mr. Stradley is survived by his daughter, Ashley (Tyson)
Page; step-sons, Roger and John Beaver; siblings, Melody
Paquin, Rhonda Batten Young and Ronald Eugene Stradley;
soon-to-be granddaughter, Ada Page; nieces, Patricia Nor-
velle, Crystal Rosemarie Thrasher, Ashley Young, Lisa Bat
ten and Michelle Thrasher; and numerous great-nieces and
nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
