the damage done during the Bolshe
vist invasion of Poland will never be
estimated correctly, but a few fig
ures are now beginning to come out.
“The entire corn crop of the east

Sift together flour, baking pow
der and salt, add shortening and
rub in very lightly; add liquid
slowly; roll or pat on floured
board to about one inch in
thickness (handle as little as
possible); cut with biscuit cutter.
Bake in het oven 156 to 20 min

Cut with biscuit cutter. Crease
each oircle with back of knife

one inch apart in greased pan.
Allow to stand 16 minutes in
warm ghco. Brush each with
melted butter and bake in mode
