Waghington, Dec. 29.—The sundry
civil bill carrying a total of three
hundred and eighty three millions,
six hundred and eleven thousand dol
lars 'or nearly four hundred and twen
ty one milliong less than was asked
by the government departmentr was
reported today by the -house appropri
tion- committee. It was the first of
the big supnly measures for next fis
eal year to be complelted and its to
tal was more than fifty two millions
lesg than the amoeunt appropriated
for gimilar purpose:: this yeat, indica
ting a desire ‘o put the goevernment
expenditures on a prewar busis,
The committee first taking care
of the men (isabled by the war, set
aside only a hundred and g'xty mit
lion for actual! candry civil expenses
of the government, whi¢ch is within
thirty four million of the total ap
propriation for 1916. The largest sin

The Bynn Yann Cempanty opens g
store in Cordele tomerrow December
20. The store will open at 12 o'clock
and an invitation is extended to the
public to inspect the store and sec
the prices offered.
The store is to be run on the cash
and carry basis thereby giving to
the consumer the advantzge of low
prices. The store is the most sani
tary and convenient device Yor dis
pensing groceries in existence. The
automatic gravity fixtures are fed
from the rear: the first grocericg
piaced in. the fixtures are the first
ta)kenn out, thereby keeping the gro
ceries fresh at all times. A sample
case is placed in the fromt of the
store and there the customer can’
find displayed a sample of each ar
ticle soll in the store and the price
of same.
These stores are bheing rapidly es
tablished all over the Tinited States
and it will only be a matter of time
until there will be a store in each
town of any consequence. The name
Bynn Yann is derived from the Bynn
Yann Tree—signifying a tree of many
{runks.
