Waveross, Jan, 15—J. F. Miles, of
Blackshear, aged sixty-four vears, died
Friday moerning at Limestone, Movi
da, fcellowing an accident occurring
Thureday afternoon, Mr. Miles, to
gether with his son, Trank Miles
avd L. R. McFoyv, both of this city
were engaged in building a bhoiler fur
nace near Tampa, Florida, when the

Douglas, Ga., Jan. 23.—News ha>
just reached Douglas of a peculiar
accident, which cccurred a few day:

Thomas, a negre, was undertaking.

removed. The negro fell through the

hanging by his feet. This accident
happened during the early part of the
night and the negro was not discov
ered until abont 11 o'clock next day

in an apparent paralized condition.
Dectors were called and it took therm
about twenty-four hours to bring
about a proper circulation and revive
him. It is now thought the negro
will get well. '

ly today destrcyed the garage and
' repair shop of R. F. Perry, fiftpen

It is estimated that the loss was not
less than §15,000. Of this Mr. Perry
- sustained about $12,000. Only one
